SUMMER WAVES Motor Seal Nut for Pump Motors P58PP1954

First, let me say that the Summer Waves 1500 pool pump is a horrible pain in the neck. It's cheaply made and the design makes it so you have to drain about 50% of the water out to repair it. Apparently the motor nut warps in high heat, and so once it comes off, like when I was trying to repair the leak, it won't go back on properly. I wish we had a video of this, I'm certain it was quite comical. I was trying to tighten it (with the pool filled of course) and the whole nut fell of, motor everything and I was just deluged in water. I'm trying to put it back together but the water pressure was way too hard for that to happen. When 2,000 gallons of water had fully flooded my yard I then noticed the warping. This new motor nut worked like a charm and I was able to put the pump back together and it's operating perfectly with no more leaks. Wasted about $200 of water in the process but it is working now, thanks be to God 🙏

After a very hot summer in the sun the original seal had warped. Found this one and it fit perfectly on the Summerwaves SFX1000 pump (also purchased the new gasket to go in it separately)

Fit and function just as it should.

Cheap made but if rubber band gasket was slightly smaller it may fit better
