I must admit... after 2 hours of fiddling around with this lamp and trying to connect it to our home network, I started to feel like some of the other reviewers. I thought the lamp was absolute crap and I got ripped off, since the main reason for purchasing was for the smart features and having Alexa manage it. However, the main problem was my patience.Yup... that's all it took... patience. I found out through the actual app that it is not compatible with 5ghz networks and even dual band ones (like mines). You actually have to disable 5ghz and use only 2.4ghz during the setup process or it will NEVER work. Most routers can do this easily. But I had to calm down and actually read it first.And also.... make sure that the network password you enter in the app is correct. IT WILL NOT give you a notification if it is wrong and you will be waiting indefinitely for it to connect to a network with the wrong password.Afterwards, it connected and I had amazing lighting I was giving commands to through Alexa in less than 5 minutes. It's a really nice lamp after all.

Easy to assemble right out of the box. I had some difficulty connecting to the Smart Life app but it suddenly connected. Once I completed the Smart Life connection, connecting to Alexa was a snap. Connect to Alexa through Skills & Games, not through "add a device".Biggest challenge I had was adjusting to the reality of the lamp's brightness (or lack thereof) and making the lamp work for my situation. It took me a while to realize that tilting the head produced the best effect. I wanted to accomplish four things: light art work, light a dark corner, provide discreet task lighting, and provide ambient light in the room. I managed to accomplish all those objectives as well as one I never anticipated solving: the screen on my laptop on opposite wall is now lit. It's a small room so the brightness of the lamp turned out to be pretty perfect.I'm so pleased with the effect that I just ordered a second one for a matching corner at the other end of my credenza (see photo). It will make the credenza wall with artwork the focal point of my windowless room. I'm thrilled to be achieving so much with a relatively inexpensive lamp.I don't have much use for the light's broad range of colors but I did find a color between yellow and orange that complements the palette of my artwork and produced a soft glow in the room which doubles as a guest bedroom.

This lamp is sturdy, bright, and has great color - for $80. It will not even pair though, unless you have dedicated 2.4ghz band wifi.If you have up to date internet, you probably have a router that switches your band from 5ghz to 2.4ghz as needed, and doesn't have a dedicated 2.4ghz band wifi anymore. This will NOT work with this lamp. I've spent so many hours troubleshooting, reading every review, resetting my wifi, walking just out of 5ghz range plugging it in down the hall as I go, running a hotspot, nada. You'll have a great lamp, that doesn't have any functionality that isn't manually pressing through 8 default colors.Totally NOT what I want or need, and a complete waste of what could have been a great product.

Easy hardware and app setup. The lamps connected to my Google mesh network easily as well. Touch controls on the lamp are too sensitive, with the slightest brush against them activating them. Biggest bummer is no group music function. The app developers say it’s a limitation of the lamps themselves. Anyway, Google Home and Alexa work perfectly with room assignments using synced on/off and color commands. Lamps are bright and colors are rich.

I wanted to get a floor lamp for a while but I wasn't sure what kind of floor lamp would I be looking for but recently I started having a lot of smart devices like lights, cameras in my house and I wanted something that I would be able to connect to those smart devices and connect using my phone. I wasn't sure what kind of app this light used but the best part about this lamp was the fact that I can use this lamp with one of my personal apps that I have been using for my other smart devices and that works perfectly because, in this way, I don't have to install a whole bunch of apps that I would have to go to Just to get the lights on but only one app. The color gradient on this lamp is perfect. There are so many colors that you can choose from and it has different scenes that will help in setting the mood. It has a USB charging port on it which helps a lot considering my Desk setup. One of the best lamps that I have ordered so far. Super easy to assemble connects easily to your Wifi and phone.

This light is super bright, however its a bit tricky to setup with the app, the auto scan doesn't work and it doesn't work very well with alexa. When you tell alexa to shut the light off and then back on it retains the last color instead of what you set the alexa routine to change it to.

I bought this lamp several weeks ago. I deliberately waited to do a review until I could see how the lamp worked after some time. I really like this lamp a lot. Getting the Smart Life app to sync was a little finicky at first. I posted a question to the seller and Jimmy responded almost immediately. Super helpful! You can adjust the lights to be white or color, and then change the color. You can also change the brighness and the saturation (how "deep" the color is). I'd buy this lamp again. The only negative I can think of is a minor nitpik. Once in a great while the Smart Life app loses contact with the lamp. That might be the app, however. I haven't done any troubleshooting to see. When I restart the Smart Life app on my phone, it reconnects, which suggests it may be the app.The white light is quite bright, which is nice for working at home.
