Good mount but no room for BUIS
So I bought this Chinese made mount just to try it out and see if its truly up to the task. While I didn't mount it with a scope and fire my rifle,I did give it a thorough exam.here's what I've found.First off the negatives and the reason I won't be keeping this mount. While its a really good design and made quite well, the design requires a very long base for proper clamping support. So long in fact that I would have to remove my BUIS (back up iron sight) to mount it to my FNH AR-15 receiver. Uuhhh. No thanks. If you have a railed forend continuous with the receiver you could move it far enough forward to allow room for BUISs but would require the mount to straddle the joint.not really ideal.Other than that its actually a pretty good mount. Its made for 30mm scopes but also has 1" plastic spacers. Its obviously an ADM ripoff or at least the rings and base style are. There are some differences though and even an improvement.I really like the clamp lock system (other than it requiring such a long base). The clamps adjust easily like the excellent ADM mounts and clamp securely. The locks are completely novel as far as I know and are very intuitive and easy to manipulate.a very good design and a definite improvement in use over the ADM IMO.The mount is quite a bit lighter than the ADM despite being larger overall. Hmmmm.not sure how that's accomplished but it makes me very suspicious of its material. Aircraft grade aluminum? Maybe, but I doubt it. The hardware quality is also in doubt judging from past experience with items of same origin although I have no direct experience with this mount. If say just go easy on the screws and use correct sized torx bits. The finish looks nice.its a variation of FDE but has a lot of metallic glitz and doesn't match any of my other components. Doesn't look bad mind you,it just doesn't match.I can't speak of its ring concentricity and alignment nor of its zero repeatability after removal or its durability. My best guess is that it would do fairly well judging from its general design and build quality, its questionable alloy withstanding. I will say I would definitely keep it if it wasn't for the problem with its base length.Overall I think its a good option if your on a tight budget and don't mind losing your BUIS. If you can swing it however,I think the real thing is always preferable. Ill call it recommended with an asterisk.3.8 stars. Decide for yourself if you can do without irons.

Not FDE but a good mount for the price.
Mounted this on my AR and it feels solid and sits true. I used my bubble levels and laser boresite to add my 4-16 scope and after 200 rounds it's still zeroed. The quick disconnect levers have a locking mechanism I haven't seen on other mounts. They work well and keep it pretty secure. The only reason this is a 4 star and not a 5 star review is that the color is much closer to a semi-gloss bronze than a matte FDE. If you're trying to match colors, or even get close, you'll either want to paint the mount or find another option.

Cheap made
As others have said, Screw is stripped and seems wrong size. Works after loctight it. But wont trust it!
