The blue light looks kind of cool and it's sort of a fan.. but it did nothing for killing mosquitos in my room when I needed it the most! I had this device on for 24 hours for weeks and it didn't kill/trap any mosquitos (and there were mosquitos flying all around) I'd always end up having to kill them by hand or with an electric swatter.As I said, it looks decent but at the end of the day I got this thing so it would kill mosquitos and it just didn't perform on that end.Update** Turned it on after months of letting it sit to try it again since I noticed an increase of mosquitos and it immediately died on me and stopped working.

This is the first time i leave a feedback that is one star. If I can leave zero star, I will. There are defect problem with this item. I brought this one month ago. I am 100% sure, it doesn't work as described. This won't catch mosquito at all. I tried on the table, on the floor. I know there is a mosquito in my small bedroom, I turned this on for whole night, and there is nothing. I put this in my son's room, and it catch nothing again,, and my son was bit by mosquito. I tried several times, it catch nothing! nothing!

I purchased this item and after the initial use I was disappointed in the results, it only trapped one mosquito overnight in my garage. I had the trap sitting on the hood of my truck in the garage. After that I read some research reports online stating that UV light was not an attractant for mosquitos so I was double disappointed. I decided to give it another shot and placed the trap on the ground under the front my vehicle in the garage. I was very impressed the next morning to find about 20 mosquitos trapped. After the second night it trapped about 20 more. This is totally solving the problem that I was having of mosquitos getting sucked into my house by the rush of air that occurs when opening an exterior door. I think the key is to place this in a location where mosquitos congregate which seems to be in a low area that has lots of cover and to have this be the only source of light in a dark area.

This really does work! I leave it on in my garage during mosquito season and there's always a bunch of dead ones in there. When I took off the top to empty it, a couple of lives mosquitoes escaped. It's not like it will rid a large of area of mosquitoes instantly, but I'm happy with it. As the instructions say, make sure you don't have other light sources on nearby because it defeats the purpose of attracting them by the blue light.

Did alright outside on a deck. Trapped about six or so mosquitoes. And I have found an occasional mosquito trapped when I use it inside. So I guess it works. Bonus is it does trap fruit flies. It does trap and kill bugs but I'm not sure it makes a difference.

Using it inside and so far it hasn't caught anything so I can't tell if it works though the theory is sound so I'll keep trying. Wish it had an AC adapter. Update; checked last night and it caught and killed a tiny beetle and a mosquito! Very, very happy!!

I love this product! After a few days of having this and using it every night in my bed room, those annoying mosquitoes in my room were gone. I didn't wake up with mosquito bites on me. It is great for outside as well. The mosquitoes just fly right to the thing and get sucked in. I am glad I bought this product as it was well worth my investment.

Five stars because it works. Couple of annoying things, it needs to be plugged in and only comes with USB adaptor, not a regular outlet plug. If you turn it off the mosquitoes escape. But it works and it's cheap and that's what mattered to me. i caught 100+ my first night.
