Great for helping kids understand the heart
I ordered this heart for my son. He did a 4th grade 4-H project on Congenital Heart Defects. He was born with a heart defect and so we used this assignment and this model heart to help him learn about his heart defect. I ordered this specific model for a few reasons. First, it wasn't expensive. I honestly didn't want to spend a fortune on something that was mostly just for this one time assignment. I looked at a lot of heart models and some were cheap but were also super tiny. My son wanted something the judges could see from across the room. Second, I liked that this model came apart and showed the heart from the inside. This really helped my son get a good grasp of what the heart really should look like in a 3D image and then we could show him what his looked like. It also really helped to figure out the parts of the heart easily. The third thing I liked was that it was made of foam and was super light weight. My son held it during the presentation in one hand most of the time. It weighs about as much as a soft/nerf type ball. I like that the heart has so much detail. It has little veins and other details on it. So I thought that this heart would be no longer used after the presentation but my son has carried it with him to school, continuing to "educate" others on the heart and has pretend played with it. Initially I was concerned that since it was made of a foam material that it might come apart but it shows no signs of coming apart or tearing. My one and only complaint and I am not reducing the stars based on this is that it doesn't stay together well when on it's side. It doesn't "click" into place because it is foam so the two pieces just lay together. This didn't really bother us or impact what we used it for. So overall, I am very pleased with this and would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, durable, kid friendly model.

I Love Learning Resources!
All items ive gotten from this brand have been great! I'm always very pleased with the outcome. This heart model is great while teaching the human anatomy to the kiddos.

Good for a young child, not very detailed, durable
The detail isn't great. There is no real texture on the inside of the heart, but there is good texture outside. It is a foam model, there are only two pieces, and it isn't something amazingly high quality to study with. However, I bought this for a 4.5 year old who is interested in the heart and brain. I think it's actually a good choice for him. I almost bought a more advanced model, but I'm glad that I didn't at this point. I think it's a good starter, will be something he can hold in his hands, see the basic insides of the heart and get and idea of how it works. It's not too advanced for a young child and will feel like a toy, yet teach him something. If he loves it, I'll probably consider a more advanced model for him in a few months.

Perfect for the project
Would I use this to study for the MCAT? No, probably not.For a 7th grade trifold project I needed a lightweight, inexpensive model and this was perfect.I guess it depends on what you are using it for.

Great product. A good visual for students to learn from. No regrets with my purchase.

Good for beginners
This provides good anatomical reference points and is only two pieces to put together. It’s not what you expect in a normal anatomy class it’s more of a foam stress ball material shaped like a heart. No projections are anatomical textures such as 3D Valves or tendons. A nice starting point when teaching anatomy to children though.

Has a purpose :)
This is a great model for younger children that want and need to explore the heart but that may be too young for dissecting just yet. It could also benefit the ones who get queasy and cannot make it through an actual dissection. It is sturdy, fun, and interesting. We have enjoyed having it in our homeschool cabinet. We have taken it out and used it over and over again. Having the parts labeled on one side and blank on the other allows for a good quiz. We made it into a fun quiz game!

Received a torn and clearly used box with the previous shipping label cut off
The heart model I received clearly had been returned, the previous label was cut off the actual model box, everything was torn, the inside everything was jammed and broken inside, and the two heart model pieces won’t even stay together. It was a defective model, clearly, but the fact that it was been trying to be resold as new is extremely disappointing.
