I got these when I got my keys to replace a key I broke and they work perfectly together.

Not easy to replace Apple's scissor mechanism (with limited instructions online most recommending not to replace lol). If you have to do it, be very careful with the metal bracket attaching the scissor mechanism. If you bend the metal bracket, the scissor mechanism will not connect correctly. These scissor mechanisms are slightly different than OEM. OEM scissor keys do not have a slide out for the middle scissor component. It is all one piece. Good luck! and maybe consider cleaning as Apple instructs without disattaching keys. Spent about $40 between scissor mechanicm and actual keys and now my speakers are slightly broken from when I vacuumed under the keys.

I'm updating my review because I understand what the problem is a little better now. My original review suggested that the switches are poor quality. I now think that the switches are fine – the problem is how the product is shipped. After installing these switches, I noticed that the keys can sometimes become sticky. Originally, I thought the problem was with the switches themselves, but now I'm pretty confident that it's the packaging. The switches are shipped glued to a piece of cardboard to help indicate where the switches are meant to be installed (see attached photo). The problem is that glue residue remains on the bottom of the switch after peeling it off the cardboard. After installing into the keyboard, the glue holds the switch down which keeps the key depressed. I realized that this is the case because after I started removing these switches, the next day the switches had become adhered to my desk where I had left them. Seller can fix this problem by finding a better way to ship the switches. If you end up buying these switches, they are serviceable. You can clean the glue residue after peeling the switch off of the cardboard. For me, I'm going to use the original switches from Apple, and I'll only use these switches for those that are actually broken. Original Review: These scissor switches are a little different from the originals. I bought them to replace my keyboard. After having replaced about quarter of the keyboard, I noticed that some (in total 4 keys out of 12 keys) would be not immediately pop back out when pressing them. I replaced those 4 keys with the original scissor switches and they were fine. Overall, I think there's a build quality / consistency problem.

I had to look at the video many times, but it finally sunk in. These hinges work on my 2021 M1 Pro 16" laptop!!! I am so very happy with the results.

the keys were not as simple as described to replace this purchase was a waste of money

Works as described, but the Silicon Rebounce Cups and Keycaps are not included. Even though that is mentioned in the description, I thought the provided video is misleading. So you'll have to pay double the price to get the full replacement options. I took a picture of the delivered item.

These installed and work exactly as the OEM apple ones, follow directions carefully, and they work just fine
