XPRS Nutra Dulse Powder (Palmaria Palmata) - Canadian Wildcrafted Nova Scotia Dulse Powder for Thyroid and Bones - Vegan Friendly Atlantic Seaweed (8 Ounce)

I take a scoop of this dulse powder daily for the sake of added iodine to my diet. The scoop that comes with it is VERY small, so a little of this goes a very long way. Hence, the bag will last a LONG time. It's a good buy and well worth it as an easy iodine supplement. I mix it in with a little spirulina powder, barley grass juice powder, and about 12 ounces of water. The combo makes for a nice flavored early morning beverage supplement. I like the fact that it's all natural too. Nature-made is always best, in my opinion.

This Nova Scotia dulse powder appears to be of good quality and fresh. They have the marine red seaweed taste as expected. It is a versatile superfood and rich in nutrients, including iodine, vitamins, and minerals. It can help boost the immune system, strengthen bone and digestive heath. For culinary use, you can mix it in your favorite smoothies, or add it to salads, omelettes, beans, soups, etc. It also works as a thickening agent in sauces and soups.This comes in a foil-lined plastic pouch with a clear window in the front. The powder is very fine and fresh. It is sourced from Canada. For what it's worth, mine has a best before date of 11/2024, so plenty of time to use it. Overall, I'm pleased with this dulse powder. It may not be organic but the quality seems good. The marine taste is pretty decent and adds a nice umami flavor to whatever you add it to. The price is pretty reasonable for a 8 oz. bag as well. I like it a lot. Good product.

I've never (knowingly) tried dulse powder before. Reading online what it's supposed to taste like, I was looking forward to a seaweedy flavor mixed with some bacon.Trying it, the powder is unmistakably seaweed. The smell and aromatic flavor is very much the same as kombu. The forward flavor is not nearly as strong as kombu though... I don't know if I would call it bacony, but certainly a diluted meaty umami. It's pleasant, and much more useable than nori or kombu if you need something more subtle.I look forward to experimenting with this powder in spice rubs and broths. I also might try using it instead of seaweed gomasio in fried rice. It's very easy to use, and hard to over-do. The powder is very fine.I ordered this May 2022, and the bag is marked with an expiration of November 2024, so an expiration of 30 months from order. Made in Canada.

I ordered this for my Mom and I to try. We love adding seaweed to soups for flavor and nutritious value, we hadn't tried this type yet and were eager to do so. This is of excellent quality, powder is fresh and easy to add to just about any meal. This tastes delicious, and as an added bonus it's packed with vitamins and antioxidants, the latter of which can prevent free radical damage to the cells of your body. This seaweed has many other health benefits, including reducing inflammation (the cause for many diseases) as well as tiredness. This dulse seaweed is a good source of iodine and tyrosine, which help support healthy thyroid function. It can help control blood sugar levels and improve your gut health. My only caution is for those with high sodium levels, you may want to avoid seaweed in general. I'm not a doctor, always go to a doctor if you have any health concerns. This product is not a miracle cure. However, it does have many wonderful health benefits supported by credible scientific studies, and can be a nice addition to your diet. Highly recommend trying!

Didn't taste very good.

After buying small shakers of dulse powder, this is a real value.I don't really notice much of a taste difference from my regular brand, but then again I don't use a lot of it on my foods. Sometimes I'll sneak a little into a smoothie, but mostly I sprinkle it on savory foods.

I was expecting a green powder, but this is a beautiful pinkish purple. Like any seaweed product, it tastes a little "fishy," but in moderation it's a good flavor and certainly is a powerhouse of nutrition. I sprinkled a little on my egg and cheese sandwich this morning, and it added a burst of flavor. I'm going to keep this in a salt shaker to shake into soups and stews and onto salads. I think this would also be good in green smoothies.
