It is very difficult to screw on and off. My husband had a hard time and ended up leaving our unit in one place. The idea was to move it from room to room but it was so difficult to connect that we just left it in one room.

Yes I believe it is the opposite of lefty Lucy, so left wold be to tighten in this situation. You could always “jimmy” it in, the wire is flexible enough to accomplish putting one side in and forcing the other side…. Did you make sure you have the correct diameter hose?
