Q: Can the hammock rope be adjusted to fit the stand better? Out hammock sags very low on our stand. I’m wondering if knots on cord can be re-tied

The hammock is adjusted for tension using the chain links that connect to the eyeholes on the hammock.. so all you have to do is move it up to a higher position on the chain and it won't sag.

Q: I have a 10ft hammock frame. Are these hammock dimensions (78 x 55 inches (overall length: 141 inches) right for my frame?

I am not sure but I think the 10 foot frame would result in a very droopy hammock. I measured our hammock. Yes, the fabric is 55 inches wide and 78 inches long. There is another 32 inches of rope on each end for a total length of about 141-142 inches. Each rope group ends with a metal ring to attach to a frame. Our frame posts are about 12.5 feet apart - and that works nicely - with short chain extensions - to allow variable hammock tension depending on the preference of the occupant. But I think 10 ft would result in a droopy hammock with little tension. And I don't see an easy way to shorten the hammock or the ropes.
