GUM ButlerWeave Dental Floss 200 Yard (6pk)

I used to use a floss from Oral-B called Ultra floss. It was THE bees knees. Best floss I've ever come across. It was super textured, and would tighten or expand depending on how you used it. It cleaned between my teeth so well, I thought I had found my perfect floss. Aaaaaaand then it was discontinued. I searched high and low for a comparable alternative, with no luck -- until I found Gum's Butlerweave. Now, it's not EXACTLY the same as the Ultra floss, but it's as close to it as anything I've found. It's certainly loads better than the kind you might find in stores. It just cleans better. If I can't have my Ultra floss, at least I can have a happy close second. Highly recommend it.

This is thicker than floss I'm used to, but that's not a detriment. It's very good floss that doesn't break, and the container lets you rewind some floss back in if you pull out too much. Update: I've been using this floss for about 9 months now. The impetus to get the floss was receding gums and an extremely painful deep cleaning of gums last December. Since they've I've had a very rigid flossing, brushing with sonicare, and mouthwash routine. The gums are looking good now and I've had two dental visits to check on them since December. I watched some videos on flossing last year and discovered I've been doing it wrong my whole life. I honestly never realized the floss slides under the gums on both sides of tooth. I would just jam the floss between two teeth and press down.

Have used this floss for several years. Have no interest in using other floss products. Hold floss tightly when going between teeth and it does not shred. Great product, great price!!

I floss a lot, and buying floss at the drug store was tedious and expensive. This Gum floss lasts such a long time, and is thick enough to do a good job, but not so thick that it won't slide between my teeth. Also, you can floss many teeth & crowns before it starts to shred and you need a new piece. And, my husband seems to need a yard of floss for each use, and this drives me less crazy because a 200-yard pack still last a long time despite his absurd excess. I can't complain, as this is just about his only fault. Buy this floss and save your marriage!

The best woven floss out there.

While I've liked Glide's ease in getting between teeth, I've always felt it wasn't necessarily getting the cleaning job done as well as it could - and their dispenser is not very reliable or sturdy. I also like GUM's avoidance of the PFAS chemicals that are associated with Glide, and the dispenser is much easier and more reliable. And so much extra floss per container. It is spearmint flavor, which conflicts a bit with my peppermint preference toothpaste, so I just floss first. This floss seems to be the best compromise between cleaning, comfort and value.

Do the math to find your cost per yard, and then compare to what you spend at the store - WAY cheaper this way. It's not teflon floss, which to me, seems like it doesn't remove anything - just packs it. This has some texture, so it can carry the plaque etc out of the teeth. But still strong - rarely shreds or breaks.

We have been using this floss for several years. I was happy to find it available on Amazon. Highly recommended.
