Q: Will it power a portable heater?

There are two numbers to consider: 1) the Watts which indicate how much power can be transferred from the battery to the gadget you want to power up; and 2) the Wh which is how much power is stored in the battery from which you are drawing to power up your gadget. The first number tells you if the power station can even provide enough power to your gadget, and the second tells you how long you can power up the gadget. 200 Watts will not power up more than things like a laptop, phone, tablet, LED lights, fan, and for a very short period of time, a portable fridge. (No hairdryers, microwaves, portable heaters, etc.) Most portable heaters require 1500 Watts to run (some take as little as 600-900 but don't heat a very big space), so you need a power station rated at least that amount of Watts, and for every hour you want to run the heater you'll need a power station rated accordingly (ie, to run the 1500 Watt heater for 1 hour you'll need a 1500 Wh power station, for 2 hours a 3000 Wh power station, for 3 hours 4500 Wh, and so on.) I'm just learning about this stuff and it's eye opening to learn just how long it takes and how expensive it is to generate and store power when off grid.

DC yes..only usb type stuff. AC no.

Q: i want to use this to light up a christmas tree that is not close to any outlets,will it light up my tree without needing to be plug'd in?

Hello, The work time is depens on the power of your lights on the Christmas tree, eg.: if the lights are 30watt, the work time is 155/30=5.16hours

You should buy more than one, and designate each one that you buy for each tech/ time used... Then prepare to charge all at once or two off and two on, or two off and one on-- so on and so forth. Just one of these will power your laptop for over a month! (ie a laptop is about 50 watts a hour, which even if you ran it every hour-- it would still last over a month! I can see a camper easily wanting four of these.)
