EGO POWER+ Portable Misting Fan, Outdoor Electric 18" 5 Speed Fan, Battery and Charger Not Included - FN1800

Let me start by saying I don’t own any Ego products. I purchased this strictly because of its power and misting abilities for a camping trip in south Florida over 100F Holy smokes am I happy I purchased this thing. Is it pricey. Yeah. Does it work very very well. YES. This thing was very well built and moves a ton of air. The misting functionality is a game changer. It has four nozzles and it pulls water from a bucket. I’ve seen some misting fans out there but some only work with a hose. This fan WILL NOT work with a hose. In case you are wondering. I personally prefer the bucket since it’s more portable and easier to move around. Plus if you use a 5 gallon bucket it will last for hours and more if you use the intermittent misting function. PRO TIP: I’ve seen a lot of complaints on this and other sites where folks complain of the fan leaking water in the front. Mine was leaking as well. Thought I had to return it but thankfully I tried tightening the misting nozzles. That was the issue and quickly resolved it. Button controls are easy to use and very user friendly. Everything about this fan is great. Another call out is this fan was designed for portability. It will only work with an ego battery that’s not provided. All in all for the price wish it included a battery and charger but even with this I would definitely buy it again and maybe other ego products as well Last thing. Make sure you get a 5 - 7.5 AMP battery. 5 minimum.

Wow — now this is a fan with some serious power behind it! It comes almost fully assembled right out of the box, and like most EGO products, you can tell right away it’s built to last. It’s big, sturdy, and looks super cool — definitely not your average fan. When you turn it on, it really moves some air… more like a small tornado than a fan! There are several speed settings, so you can adjust it to just the right level, and I love that you can add misting capabilities by connecting it to a 5-gallon water container or something similar. It runs on the standard EGO battery (sold separately), which worked out great for me since I already have a few. This is not for indoor home use — it’s powerful enough that a friend of mine actually called it a “warehouse fan,” which is pretty accurate. It runs smooth, looks awesome, and keeps things cool even in the Texas heat. I’d absolutely recommend it.

The team loves this fan. It’s a little pricey but well worth the cost for what you get. Easy to assemble. The battery lift is about 4 - 5 hours. It’s not that loud of a fan and puts out a good amount of mist. Love this fan for sports teams and outdoor summer events.

I purchased tis for the misting feature for hot days at my kids long swim meats in the summer and it was a hit. I just mounted it on top of a 5 gallon bucket full of water and it ocellated and intermittently misted folks that were overheating in the 90 degree humid weather all day long at the meet. For the next meet on an equally hot day I put it on top of a larger ice chest full of ice water for more cooling. It ran for the 5 hour meet no problem on a 4ah battery with a bar or 2 left on the battery still, mostly on high (but not turbo). Its a bit pricy given the you still need to buy a battery (which are quite costly, more than the fan) but I already owned a couple of Ego tools and had both 4ah and 5ah batteries I could use. This moves much more air than my more portable 20v dewalt 8 inch fan which does not mist or oscillate, but its also quite heftier with the battery and a 5 gallon bucket so plan for more space when you are packing up to take it somewhere. It does have an app you should install on your phone (at least temporarily) to update the fan's firmware and register for the warranty. For me there is a bit of a trade off between an old analog knob with say 4 speeds and these buttons which are connected to some control circuit board - some might consider that more complexity than needed in a fan, but overall it works great and I have had decent luck with Ego tools so hopefully this lasts a long time.

It’s been a home run. Bought it for my daughter soccer games to help cool the bench. Wheels make it very easy to maneuver from far parking lots. Would 100% recommend. 5AH battery easy last two and probably three matches on 80% setting.

I picked up the EGO POWER+ Portable Misting Fan because I already use several EGO tools, and this fits right into that ecosystem. As expected, the fan is extremely powerful—the 18" blades move a ton of air, and the misting feature is great for keeping cool outdoors. I actually used it overnight next to my pellet smoker to push smoke away from the house, and it was still running strong in the morning, which really shows how efficient the batteries are at lower and medium speeds. The biggest downside is the same issue that comes with most EGO products: the batteries are expensive if you don’t already own them. The fan itself is great, but buying a dedicated battery and charger adds a lot to the overall cost. For a large fan like this, I really wish EGO had included an option for a direct AC plug so it could be used without draining batteries during longer sessions. That said, if you’re already invested in EGO, this fan delivers excellent performance, long run time, and great outdoor cooling. Bottom line: Fantastic airflow and battery life, but the lack of an AC power option and high battery cost keep it from being perfect.

I love this Ego product for use indoor/outdoor but havent tried the mister function yet. No regrets with this purchase.
