Waterway Guide Southern 2014 (Waterway Guides, 67, 3) Spiral-bound – October 1, 2013

Haven't purchased in many years and so glad we bought the most up to date Dozier Waterway guide. They have improved it with Club membership (free, no cost like boat US - which we also have) references where discounts for fuel & dockage, etc apply so we don't have to rely exclusively on Boat US for discounts, especially a problem with coming into port later in the day and do not have internet access to find Boat US participants - hate that they exclusively have it online - that is what is more convenient for Doziers. Nice to be able to plan, with contingencies and ability to write lots of notes in the book, especially since we'll probably use it for a couple years.

Ok information, but hard to find needed info when on the water. It reads like a book, so you have to read a whole page to find what you are looking for. Poorly organized and very poorly laid out. Fairly simple changes could make this book much better. Sometimes simple info such as what VHF chanel a bridge uses is missing.

I only wanted information on available marinas near Coral Gables. This guide was the only place I could find the information -- lot's of detail.

These Waterway Guides ( I also have the Waterway Guide for the Bahamas) are excellent guides for anyone with a boat and a desire to go somewhere. Today I recommended this very guide to a couple that is gearing up to leave for Mexico via the ICW next week. A very valuable guide, highly recommended.

This looks great for Florida coast. But a bit brief for the Texas coast, which is where my boat is.

This book is packed full of information! It's all inclusive, it covers charts, photos of harbours, anchorages, shoreside activites. This book isn't cheap, but while worth the money.
