Farmacy Deep Sweep 2% BHA Toner for Face - Pore Cleaner and Facial Exfoliator - Salicylic Acid Face Toner (50ml)

I have added this to my nightly skincare routine as a toner, twice a week. My skin has become clearer and visibly brighter. Will definitely be purchasing again.

I was looking for a BHA pore cleansing toner breakout due to combination/oily skin that's prone to breakouts. Only used for a few days but already notice radiant complexion and glowy skin. During my skincare routine, I pour out a small amount into a reusable cotton pad and swipe it all over my face, focusing on areas where I'm most acne-prone. I was experiencing a pretty awful bout of hormonal acne all over my chin, recently, but luckily the combination of this addition to my routine did the trick to essentially eradicate all the unwelcome visitors on my face. I love how this product isn't full of fragrance like a lot of other high-end toners and BHA products I've tried. I think that the fact that it includes more gentle, moisturizing ingredients like papaya and moringa, makes it a great option even if you tend to be sensitive to strong BHA products.

Although this is alcohol-free and thus more gentle on the skin than the options that include that, there is a warning on the pack that it might cause tingling, so there is something in the ingredients that may cause irritation. In my case, i did feel tingling and that developed into a reddening of the skin that took a long time to fade. I would therefore suggest you try this during your night time routine before using it in the morning. I tried using it a few times in the hope that it may have been just an initial reaction to something and it might calm down, but it repeated on each and every use, so I had to discontinue use.

Deep sweep pore cleaning toner A nice bottle of toner, with 50ml inside. This doesn't really have much of a scent. I love a toner that works as a two in one, as such. This one works fab for cleaning up your skin, whilst toning it at the same time. I do feel like my skin looked clearer afterwards, especially either side of my nose and on my cheeks. I had no irritations from this, or redness. It was quite nice to use. Using toner daily, I can get through a fair few bottles, so I always like it when one seems to go further than expected, which is this one. I would recommend this. I don't think it's bad for the price. I like that it spreads well, my skin looks fresh and clear afterwards. I would use it again.

This pore cleansing toner did exactly what it said! I don’t even want to take a photo of my cotton wool pads after using it, yuk! It removed literally every scrap of residue makeup and sunk in to my skin where I’m sure it did it’s thing too. It looks heavenly and it smells heavenly too. When I say it was tough on cleansing my face I’m surprised at how gentle it was on my face. I have dry sensitive areas on my forehead and cheeks, it didn’t adversely affect neither. My skin had a pinkish healthy tone afterwards and once I applied moisturiser it felt luscious. I’m not sure why I was expecting a balm, it’s liquid. So be careful once you remove the plastic barrier. A little will go a long way too. I’d definitely buy this again at this price!

I absolutely love this toner! I have dry, sensitive skin but am prone to hormonal & cystic acne during the luteal phase of my cycle. If I feel I have some extra black or white heads or have some acne developing, I will swipe a cotton pad over it with some of this on it and I do truly feel that it does a deep sweep of my pores while making sure to not strip any natural moisture from my skin. I've noticed some brightening effects without effecting any sensitivity or sun sensitivity. I had never used this brand before but I love this so much that I'm going to try other products of theirs.

Nothing exciting. I’d say it’s just okay. Didn’t feel any difference in my skin, and I felt like there’s not a lot in the bottle. Went through it pretty quickly just using a tiny bit in the morning and at night. But it didn’t break me out or make my skin worse.

Per the wife: After reading positive and negative reviews online and then here on Amazon, I was very interested in trying this toner. Unfortunately, in using it all over my face I had several breakout areas on the oiliest parts of my face—forehead being the prime spot. I know that this is often referred to as “purging”, but as a woman in her early 50s who has fair complexion and sensitive, combination skin I, uh, ain’t got time for that… And why yes, I did try waiting a few days in between applications, but after decades in-and-out of Derm offices for various severity of acne and a whole host of different meds, I have yet to see enough evidence that having horrible acne for 4-6 weeks just to use a product is a worthwhile endeavor. I *do* use it on very small areas with Q-tips, though, to help keep the small, chronic, dry skin patches and recovering blemishes that are drying out from looking too flaky while they heal. It seems to work ok for me in super small doses without consequence and I’m not letting this just go to waste. Odor is very low, not really noticeable to me (I hate strong scents). The few times I did use it on my face it felt nice—a little tight, not uncomfortable, but like the good kind of tightness you expect from a quality toner. I wasn’t able to use it long enough to see if it affected my pores, but using it after washing my face didn’t really yield any extra grime like other folks on here. It’s all about what works for you, your lifestyle and your body, it just didn’t work for mine. UDATE 2/25/25, regarding use w/my Eczema: I raised it another star. I started using it on the eczema areas of my face, just for fun (and just because once the areas are in full blown eczema-mode most skin care stuff doesn’t really make it worse, so I try different things dry time-to-time). This stuff seemed to have a positive, calming effect on the facial eczema area—I did NOT try it on my eczema on my hand—that seemed to also either: a) hydrate and make the flakiness less noticeable; OR b) lightly exfoliate the flakes from the area without any redness or irritation and without any dryness. Now, whether or not this is a real or tested application of this substance I have no idea (I haven’t read everything about it because I am lazy) is not known to me. Whether or not it will work for your eczema or dry skin I have no idea. All that I know is that I continue to use this on my facial eczema (around the lower part of my face) with very positive effects. I still, however, do not use it on my forehead on a regular basis because of continued breakouts.

I have been using this for a year. It really works for me.

For reference I have fair colored oily skin and live in a dry climate. I’m a skincare junkie and have tried tons of products. I use a BHA exfoliating toner daily to keep my oily skin from breaking out. I enjoyed this toner in terms of the feel and scent. The scent is very light, like a hint of woody/echinacea. The texture is liquid - not the thick type of liquid that Glow Recipes PHA Essence has, but more of the normal liquid that you would expect from a toner. It’s not sticky or tacky when applied, and my skin absorbed it quickly. It layered fine under my serum. Since I use toner for specifically keeping my face clear from breakouts, I can’t speak to whether this is brightening. But again, that wasn’t my objective with it. Since pores can’t really be “minimized” I tend not to care about their size but rather whether they are clear or not. This toner kept my pores nice and clear, and as a result it kept my skin looking even and matte. Overall it’s a good quality exfoliating toner. It’s not my holy grail, but I would say it’s in my top 3 favorites for exfoliating toners.
