HobbywingEzrun MAX8 G2 ESC (2022)

Well, I usually don’t leave reviews, yet being beyond impressed, here Iam. First off I have never delt with this seller before, but invoice stated a Sat delivery, but received by Fri instead. Was awesome to get that quick. Ordered Wed, day before Thanksgiving, arrival was Sat, got a day early, Fri. Ran a couple single 3s packs through it earlier in my Traxxas Maxx, trx brand 3s lipos, 6400 I think. Usually a 10 min run with the stock esc. Got around 20 mins using this hobbywing esc. Outta box, into truck, battery, turned on, drove. I didn’t set anything. Punch was diff than stock, this eases in then hits hard. Original, instant. Actually like this factory set, almost like a power band on a two stroke dirt bike. Most part, esc stayed super cool to the touch. Back to back with two lipos, the motor which is stock velenion xl, got around 4 seconds to the touch before i let go. Didn’t have fan hooked up though, but will, so should be cooler. Overall I’am beyond impressed by the seller. The Hobbywing esc seems to be a great improvement. Still new, so dunno bout longevity. But as said, outta box settings was perfect for how I drive. Much better experience now.

Awesome ESC on my Tekno ET48.3 truggy used for racing. This HW ESC has been very durable and never given me any issues. I used the HW LCD programmer to adjust the settings to my liking; paired it with the marching HW 4278 (2250kv) motor. The sensor capability is very nice, and this is such great value too.

I purchased a Traxxas Maxx, after a few days of very light bashing and a few full throttle passes all on 4s the stock Traxxas ESC bit the dust, didn't feel like waiting on the replacement from Traxxas so I snagged this thing and am just using the stock Traxxas motor. Turned an already peppy truck into an absolute monster. I guess the way the throttle points are set up on this esc it's just a lot more fun to drive. Also top speed seems a bit more but haven't clocked it yet. Only down side is I did have to solder different connectors but that's part of the hobby so no big deal. Time will tell if it lasts but it seems to stay a lot cooler than the stock esc. I would buy this esc again many times over.

Im really loving this esc. It brings out the power of my 100c batterys. Way better than the traxxas did. Has many adjustable parameters. (Buy the program module!) Runs practically no heat on 4s. Good fan. Highly recommend when your traxxas esc inevitably fails, cuz it will. It is compatible with the og motor but it pushes it hard, so watch temps and it works well. Crazy fast well.

Great product as always from hobbywing put this in my maxx v2 with the paired sensored motor it's a whole different beast sorry traxxas you guys limit your electronics to much so hobbywing an castle it is.

Nice addition to my sledge

I bought this esc because my stock Maxx esc burned up. Threw this thing in and was happy with it, until I hit a jump, landed, batter came unplugged and the motor never responded since. I bought a new Hobbywing 2200kv motor, waited 2 more days, turned it on, and no beeps or anything. The esc is the culprit. Very disappointing. Returning and buying a new one. Here we go.........

Put on traxxas maxx and it makes the car so much more fun to drive
