Very good product, first time using goldenseal herbal tincture and it was really good and improved my health. Appreciated the fact that I could mix the tincture with water and non-alcoholic beverage.

I like this product a lot and use it when I feel a little something coming on along with other immune boosters. This gives it the one to punch. Needs to be used with juice if you don’t care for the strong flavor or bitterness.

This has worked wonders for regaining my sense of taste and smell! I lost it completely for about 2 weeks. I couldn’t stand waiting to see if time would restore it, so I started looking for at home remedies. Within 3 doses (2oz water mixed with a full dropper) my senses have returned roughly 50%. It’s bitter as the devil and taste is horrible, but the benefits greatly outweigh the bad taste in my opinion. (And yes, even though I could taste nothing else, I sure tasted this.) We have been using our espresso cups which are the perfect capacity, I imagine a shot glass would also work well and save time when it comes to measuring.

I purchased this for my child who had a cold and after the last one, I wanted something to attack the respiratory issues right away. Now, it tastes awful, and I mean awful and kinda bothers the throat a bit afterwards but it seemed to work on the cold and prevented further complications. We were both able to take it better with a 1.2 to a full tablespoon of elderberry syrup, mixed together makes it go down much easier. Powerful stuff it is!

This works better than prescription antibiotics in my opinion. It's phenomenal for so many things. Great packaging and sealed! I want to add that in regards to flavor, it's a medicine; it's not a candy. I wouldn't want sweetener added to this as that works defeat its purpose.

I love this product and wouldn't be without it. Yes, it tastes horrible. Don't put the drops in a large amount of juice -- it just makes the bad taste last longer. I put a dropper full (one dose) in my smallest measuring container. It only holds two ounces (shot glass size). Then I add about an ounce of orange (or another) juice. I pour about half a cup of juice into a small glass. I swig down the "shot" of goldenseal and chase it immediately with the other drink. That takes the taste away from my taste buds so it isn't so bad. I've used this product for a couple years and have found it extremely effective for respiratory issues.

This Goldenseal extract seems to be very good quality. It's highly concentrated so even a small bottle can last some time. Herb Pharm cultivate their own Goldenseal organically on their farm, so they are not putting the wild populations of this plant at risk.Although the label indicates "Respiratory System", the action of Goldenseal can be much broader, including anti-inflammatory and other effects (google "hydrastis" for more info - the various historical Homeopathic materia medica will list relevant details. Even though this is in concentrated tincture format, they should still apply).The risk of side effects appears to be low, but it's not meant to be taken continuously for a long time. I guess if you take it for a week or two, you should take a break from it before resuming. Goldenseal is very bitter, however it can be mixed with something like apple juice to balance the taste.
