Hosa SH-12X4-50 Pro-Conex 12x4 Stage Box Snake - 50 foot

The quality appears to be good for a reasonable price. We have only used it on one gig but all 8 channels work fine and we used two TRS returns, one for a monitor and one for electronic drum kit... so far so good!

I purchased the Hosa Snake 16x4x 25 feet because it was the right number of inputs, returns and distance for my home project studio. The 25 foot run allowed me to feed the board in the adjacent control room through a small port, bringing 16 mic inputs and four 1/4" stereo returns for musicians headphones. Obviously these are fairly simple devices, and they are either soldered up correctly or they are not. On the unit that arrived at my studio, every connector was noise free and functional. Anyone could easily see that this stage box features rugged construction... more than enough to stand up to years of abuse in and out of live venues, if that's your end use. The strain relief cable was an unexpected bonus that allowed me to secure the weight of all those XLR's and heavy cable to a hook on the back of my console. Nice!For the price, this represents good value for the money, and as such, earns my recommendation.

My band needed to reduce the long stretches of cable lines we were using as we kept adding new gear. I wanted something that would be able to withstand some abuse but, our budget had some restraints. We've used this unit 10 times since purchasing it & I do not have any complaints about it. It's compact enough to easily carry & does not take up much space on the floor (if you are a working band, you know there are some tight spaces to fit in). It's quiet... well constructed for the price. There are better BUT... there are much worse snakes out there!

Good quality snake for a great price. Only drawback was no locking connectors but you get what you pay for.

I have gigged 2-3 times a week since purchasing this cable snake and have been impressed with it's rugged and robust design. In addition, there is no degradation in the audio signal. It works very well for our 4 piece band and I would definitely buy a HOSA product again.
