Just received the product and it appears that it has been opened before because the unit in the box was put in upside down. Well open or not truly a great scanner!

Small fast and easy to use . A perfect pocket scanner when you go to an auction to check up some cars 👍

I hate to leave negative reviews on lower cost alternatives on things such as this, but unfortunately this one really wasted my time. I've used Launch products that worked pretty well comparativly in the past, but this is not one.The user interface is clunky and temperamental, if it actually decides to work. You have to back out and try again frequently. The diagnostic features for this unit didn't work at all with the exception of auto detect occasionally working before trying anything. Any actions resulted in the unit failing and providing "file lost or damaged" message and a prompt to wipe it and reinstall all the updates. I've done this twice already, each time takes the better part of 30 minutes minimum to accomplish while you sit in your car wasting time and your car remains unusable.While at the bare minimum it will read ECU and Emissions codes, that's all you get. At this point, even if it did work, I wouldn't trust it to perform diagnostic tasks without potentially damaging your luxury car's delicate software systems by failing during an action command leaving you stuck. I'd advise spending some extra money on a better quality tool or opting to buy an actual SDS laptop if you're going for Mercedes specifically.

My opinion – this is a feature rich tool when it works with the vehicle you connect it with. I did a ton of research before buying this; watching probably 3 hours total of people using this on Mercedes Benz Vehicles. It worked well based on this research. It did everything they needed because it was compatible with the vehicle they connected it to. There is plenty of evidence out there that this little device is worth the investment – when paired with a compatible vehicle. Resets codes, actuates functions for testing, had a database of error codes specific to Mercedes Benz. Compatibility is the key here. Once you get the tool – don’t just assume it will work and test it immediately. Take it out to your vehicle and run it through a thorough test of the features to ensure compatibility. I have a Sprinter van and for the sprinters this tool really isn’t a good match, so I was disappointed. Their tech support is mediocre to try to get it to work – so I say that when you are within the return period check it out and know for sure its going to work. All that said – the interface is smooooth and runs quickly. The screens boot up well, great touch screen, and easy to read display. I really enjoyed the display orientation, and the connected cable so you aren’t messing with connections all the time. You also have expandable storage!! I have used a ton of these kinds of scanners and this one really really performs well and is feature packed. Super easy Wi-Fi connection. Super easy updates. If you want help with the basic operations – there are a ton of YouTube videos. All in all, when it work it seems to work well. But when it is incompatible, you really don’t have any features outside a basic code reset tool.

The media could not be loaded. There are several aspects of the Creader Elite tool that stand out to make it the top of my list when I'm working on a Mercedes.The first part I really like is the amount of information that I can get access to with this tool. The software on the tool will communicate with every module on the vehicles I work on (I work as an auto technician and have for 28 years). Being able to see what the computers see as the inputs and outputs is crucial to accurately diagnosing these vehicles. Since there are anywhere from 10-60 modules on modern Mercedes controlling everything on the vehicle I want to see which ones have codes and be able to run tests to see what isn't working.The second thing that is really impressive is the depth that the software has to not only see the datastream but perform actuation tests as well as go through and perform calibrations and service functions. Having these abilities means this tool can perform resets and in many cases do dealer level service functions.The third thing I find really helpful about the Creader Elite is just how easy it is to use and navigate. The main menu is laid out very well and the speed of the processor is easily on par with other scan tools I have. The service functions can quickly be accessed from the home screen so instead of having to navigate to the correct module to perform a function you can go right to the menu and get to it quickly. Updating this tool has been super easy when updates are available there's a little red icon on the update button and it is just a few clicks to get the most up to date software.This Creader can also make a shareable report showing the results of the testing and then send that to either your own email or a customer's email which makes this really professional and perfect for pre-scan and post-scan showing that a code is now gone or making sure what codes were present when a technician started working on a vehicle.Something else I have really liked about this tool is that there is no battery for me to maintain or worry about. Almost all my other tools I have to make sure they are charged because many of them won't power up from 0% and still run the operating system so it throws a wrench into my process having to wait but not with this tool I can jump right into diagnosis.Overall I have zero issues recommending this tool because of the functionality of the software the ease of use and depth of information and functions this little tool can do it's an easy choice.
