loved it!
Very enjoyable read. Loved the characters. Loved the humour and chemistry. So many LOLs. Loved the tender moments too. I wasn’t too sure about the age gap at the start but their connection was hot and in the end it didn’t matter.

Stubborn Characters in the Best Way!
This was yet another sweet, spicy, and suspenseful book in this series. The main characters were the perfect fit together with a whirlwind romance that started off with a bang and simmered into dangerously spicy levels despite the MCs trying to stay professional. Along with the romance, I really loved the tension-filled plot in this book, and I liked how it showcased more of the inner workings of the hockey world without loading down the story. As the fourth standalone book in this series, it nicely connects with the previous books while also telling its own story. As always, a list of trigger warnings will be included at the end of my review on Goodreads. As a high profile sports agent, consummate professional Krista knows a high risk player when she sees one, and twenty two year old Levi—talented, out of control, and absolutely gorgeous—is as high risk as they come. Despite her hesitations, when a close friend asks her for a favour in acquiring Levi as a client, she can’t refuse and sets off to his hideaway in Mexico to bring him in line. Her trip has unseen consequences, however, when she ends up tied to Levi in ways that are definitely not professional, and in the interest of both their careers, they agree to keep their secret buried. Though sparks still fly every time they’re in a room together, Krista knows getting involved with her rookie is a risk she can’t afford, especially with her own family problems to deal with. Yet when someone starts messing with Levi on and off the ice and his spot on the Wolves is in jeopardy because of it, she can’t help but feel protective and willing to do anything she can to help him achieve his dreams.Though he wishes otherwise, Levi knows having Krista as his agent is his best shot at skating on the ice as a Wolf, and if he wants to keep his dream of playing hockey alive, he needs to bury his feelings and put their past behind him. When Krista slowly opens up to him, leaning on his strength despite her reservations and showing him a side to herself she hides from the rest of the world, his mind is made up; he wants to play hockey, and though he wants Krista as his agent, he’ll do whatever it takes to be a part of her life outside of hockey too. Things get more complicated when the person messing with him takes things a step too far and causes everything he and Krista have worked so hard for to fall apart, and though she tries to keep it to herself, Krista’s family problems are only making everything worse for her. Despite the setbacks, Levi is certain he knows what he wants, and is determined to convince Krista and anyone standing in his way that he may be a high risk rookie, but taking a chance on him is definitely worth it.This book was funny, heartfelt, and full of delicious tension. Its fast paced plot covered a lot of ground, telling the story of not only Krista and Levi’s romance, but their lives behind the scenes, giving a focus to their motivations, setbacks, and goals in their personal lives as well. As usual in this series, the mystery taking place during the story added a hint of danger, intrigue, and intensity to the plot, and though it wasn’t the most thrilling of the dangers that took place in this series, it was still a suspenseful read. I liked that the story could easily flip between the serious nature of both Krista and Levi’s problems and their sweet romance without losing momentum, and the dual POVs were a great choice to give readers a full look into both MCs’ thoughts about those issues. I really liked the climax of the plot, and was glad to see this couple get their happy ending.Readers have seen Krista in past books and knew how serious she is about her career, so I was curious about Levi and why she would risk her career to get involved with a client. Levi was a perfect fit with her, and reading about how relentlessly determined he was to both play hockey and be a part of her life outside of it was a perfect way to show off their similar stubborn personalities while also highlighting the differences in their levels of recklessness. This couple and all their complications were so fun to read about and I loved that their journey as individual people and as a couple wasn’t without its share of problems. Their relationship challenged them at every turn, and yet I was smiling the whole time I was reading their story. Reading how two characters who were used to relying only on themselves dealt with problems together was both entertaining and heartfelt, especially when they realized they didn’t have to do everything alone.I really enjoyed this well written book! I’m not sure if there are more books planned for the future of this series, but since I liked all of them so far, I’ll definitely read any new additions if the author decides to write more.

High Risk Rookie.
Really loved this audio book. I just couldn't put it down. Completed in a day which is something I don't normally do. Really liked the way some previous characters are woven in. Yes they are standalone but things all tie together when read in sequence. I was hoping to read Goalie Trouble but can't seem to find it. Thankyou Odette.
