I didn't use it on metal but it is quite sticky (read 'not the easiest to work with') so I imagine it would stick to metal.

Edit: alas the items I stuck up suddenly fell, without any interference other than the recent heatwave. So it failed the heat test. Down 2 stars.I bought in place of nano tape, but unlike nano tape once stuck that's it, it's stuck fast!
