I have a 1941 Cape Code style house. When replacing the old junky plastic doorknobs and came across this one. I love that it matched the frank lloyd wright house numbers that I added. My 86 year old mother confirmed this doorbell has a look that could have been on the house at one time. My electrician installed it with outside lights. He did not seem to have a problem and it worked instantly. It is solid and looks awesome on the front. One thing to note, on my side door the current trim prohibits anything but a narrow rectangle doorbell cover, so check the area first before ordering. I am hoping the siding guys can figure out how to add it when they replace that trim.
