It was good to see the boys perspective on so many things
Did this add any crazy new revelations to the series? No. Was it nice at least to see things from the boys perspective and understand how they didn’t want to be the way they are. Yes. And all the little foreshadowing with Darius and Lance in this book was so good for what’s to come.

omg I love
“If her hate makes me this savage, one drop of her love would corrupt me to my core.”I accidentally read this one second (oops), but it turned out to be a happy accident. Getting the story from the boys’ POV added so much depth and understanding to their characters. It was fascinating to see why they acted like such jerks in the first book. None of them are inherently evil; they just have these facades to protect themselves and their loved ones, especially Darius and Orion. This book had me in a chokehold, and the last chapter with Darius broke my heart. I could feel his pain and anger so vividly.Initially, I was a bit intimidated by the thought of a 23-book series with novellas included, but this book made the journey seem more exciting. For anyone who struggled with or DNF’d the first book because of the bullying, I recommend reading this one immediately after. It gives you the boys’ perspective, which might make the story more bearable and enjoyable. Just my two cents!

A good read to get all POVS
I read this after ZA4 and 0.5, but in hindsight- I wish I would’ve read it tandem with ZA1. I didn’t love going back in time during such a pivotal moment in the story, but I do think the story was good to showcase just how much the heirs didn’t want to hurt the Vegas, but were forced and coerced to by their parents.SPOILERSIt also really highlights how Darius had the bond with Tory from the very beginning, but went against fate and made his own bed after time and time again of trials by the stars.

Can't wait to read the remainder
After reading the first book(Zodiac Academy: The Awakening) I was almost positive I hated these 5 boys. There was absolutely no way I could forgive them. I almost didn't want to pick up the remaining series. But Thought what the 'hey'.Yet, reading this book puts so much into perspective. If you have read The Awakening then I urge you to read it from the boys POV. I also have to say that is what I was really missing from the first book. So am glad I got to taken in the multitude of angles. So the book will go over a lot of the interactions that you observe through Story and Darcy's POV but you also get to hear their internal dialogue. To hear how different each of the others families influence their decisions. I mean even the first book you kind of get a grasp that the parents are influencing their doings, but in this book you fully head dive in and understand that they don't like this any more than the Vegas.Cannot wait to continue on reading. So badly wanna see Lionel go down

don’t skip
I read this a year after finishing book 8, and i wish I read it before now. I hated the guys in the Awakening and felt bad to like them more and more during the serie (yes. I hold grudge. no, i’m not sorry). Now I understand their behaviour and see that they were affected by what happened. Thank you for this, Twisted Sisters ! But not really, you always break my little heart

Darius Acrux is the sole owner of my entire heart 🖤
This was such a good retelling of the first book, genuinely clutching at my pearls at some scenes, they just hit so much harder from The Boys' POV - Yes, Yes, a million times yes. This was beautiful! 🖤
