Excellent, very clear in night also

The Xiaomi Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K (2024 model) and have been very pleased with its performance. Here’s what I love about it: Pros: High Resolution (2K | 3MP): The 1296p clarity is fantastic. The high resolution makes it easy to see even the smallest details, which is a major improvement over standard 1080p cameras. 360° Coverage: The 360° pan feature ensures there are no blind spots in the room. You can control the camera’s movement remotely, so it’s easy to adjust the view on the fly. F/1.6 Aperture for Low-Light Performance: The F/1.6 aperture allows more light, which greatly improves image quality in low-light conditions. Night mode is also very clear. User-Friendly App: The Mi Home app is intuitive, allowing me to view live footage, replay recordings, and adjust settings. It also sends alerts for motion detection, which I found very responsive and accurate. Two-Way Audio: The two-way talk feature is a nice touch. I can communicate with family members or, if needed, address someone in the room directly through the camera. Cons: Setup Instructions Could Be Clearer: The initial setup took a bit longer than expected, as the instructions were somewhat basic. However, once it was up and running, it’s been very easy to use. Wi-Fi Dependency: The camera works best on a strong Wi-Fi signal. If your internet connection is weak, you might experience a slight delay in the live feed. Overall, the Xiaomi Mi 360° Home Security Camera 2K offers excellent value for its features. Its high-resolution video, wide coverage, and low-light performance make it a reliable choice for home security. It is highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality camera at a good price!

I bought a Mi (Xiaomi) Wireless Home Security Camera. Since it does not support full-time cloud storage, I inserted a memory card recommended by Xiaomi Home. The memory card worked fine for one week. After that, the camera stopped recording, and I was unable to view the recorded videos. When I removed the memory card and inserted it into my mobile phone, I found that the camera had corrupted the memory card. I then purchased a high-quality SanDisk memory card and inserted it into the camera. After one week, the same issue occurred again. I was unable to record videos, view previous recordings, or format the memory card. I contacted the support team, but I have not received any response yet.

The camera is ok. I am running a 64 GB card which backs up approximately a week's worth of footage. Installation and setup was easy, just needs a stable wifi. Can cover a wide area with 360° rotation and field of view is good too. I am getting notifications too about events unlike many others. The quality is decent but that's about it for its features. Now for the issues- 1. I chose this over its competitors due to NAS but it's just a gimmick. My laptop, phone and all other devices can recognise my NAS but this camera couldn't. I tried all tricks in the book(rather the internet) but it just couldn't recognise my NAS. 2. Other cameras has motion/subject tracking, this doesn't. 3. It doesn't recognise half of the activities. I have it faced at the entry gate of my house. It gives notification about some random activity where some pixel has changed but half of the activities happening right infront of it isn't recognised. I have passed so many times infront of it, even faced it, but it only captured my activity once. Its activity recognition is not to be dependent upon, you would have to review your footage manually. 4. If you have to download a portion of the video to your local device, you have to press the record button while running the footage and then let it run at 1X. I can't just point it to the first and last point on the timeline and let it finish NOOOOO, you can't even speed up the footage while "recording", you would have to sit there and wait for the footage you've reviewed 10 times to record again. 5. The camera quality is not very good. The picture is grainy and not very clear. The quality (if judged by the resolution) is better on the realme cam at the same price. 6. The playback at 16X sometimes is very jittery. It gets stuck so much that it renders that feature completely useless sometimes but other times works fine. 7. Oh and good forbid you lose your internet connection, it'll stop recording altogether. I had my internet go out for a couple of hours but I thought that it might be writing that data on the SD card since writing there won't require any internet connection. When the internet connected again, the footage of that time was just missing. WHY? 8. This is just a minor bug that the camera calibration button in the app has no confirmation message. If you accidently press it, it'll just start calibrating. There should be a confirmation popup on it like we have on delete. There might be some other issues which I'm forgetting but this is the crux of it. I wish I had purchased the realme cam but I can't say for sure if that would not have these or some other issues.
