I LOVE the Project Life mini albums.
I LOVE the Project Life mini albums. I make one for my boyfriend every year documenting our adventures. They are a perfect size to fit about a year's worth of photos and are so so attractive and easy to use. I've also made mini albums for friends and they are always a huge hit. The albums are sturdy and well-made and I've never ever had a problem with them.

Disappointed
Disappointed! The window is not placed evenly on the cover -- very obvious -- and there is a crease in the plastic! I have read similiar complaints on the Rain and Cinnamon mini albums, as well. In addition, the cover shows finger prints. Going back! :( Bummer!Update: I returned the above mini-album and ordered a replacement. The replacement has arrived and while not perfect is much better than the previous album. The only issue, unfortunately, is again with the window on the cover. . . it is placed perfectly, but the plastic covering the opening is wrinkled, as if there is too much of it. I think I can live with it, though. (May actually try to cut it out and replace with my own clear plastic. Maybe, Shrink Dink plastic.) So, I am going to keep this album to use with the Wellington kit, which by the way is beautiful. (I orignally gave the mini-album two stars, but am now going to change my rating to 3. I still believe, especially considering the price, that this album is not of the highest quality.)

Almost Great
I am a big fan of Project Life. Used this album with the Mayfield Childhood Edition and worked great to throw together an "Our Year So Far" album for my preschool students during one weekend.Yes, greasy fingerprints from grimy little fingers have definitely left their obvious marks on the cover. It's not the easiest to clean, but I knew that coming into it. Yes, my cover's window pane was crooked too. That messes with my detail-oriented brain, but luckily my copy was not as bad as some of the other reviews.Regardless, the overall concept works. It was quick and relatively painless to put together and the kids love looking at it every day.I hope the manufacturer figures out how to mass-produce straight covers soon because I really want to see the company succeed with the promised high-quality products.

Do not waste your time buying a PL mini album
It's really hit and miss with these albums! I kept the one I bought before this even though many of the plastic sleeves were marked up but this one is much worse and I am returning it. I only hope I don't have to pay the return shipping on such a defective product. I just can't put my photos into sleeves that are so bad. Quality control on Becky Higgins products seems to have really slipped.

Great Product, Reasonable Pricing, But Subpar Quality.
I love the price and concept of this product, but I wish there was better quality control being looked after. My album came with a cracked corner in the front window, and most of the pages are permanently and noticeably scuffed. Not what I had in mind for my first pregnancy scrapbook.

A great album for beginners, gifts, or remembering certain special events
I love Becky Higgins products! I have several of her physical Project Life albums and kits and loves this small album. The pages are sewn in with little pockets for your card and pictures. I plan on making this into a little scrapbook for my mother, and will definitely be ordering more for special events or for gifts.Even though I'm an experienced Project Life'er I think this is a great starter album for people just getting into this new, easier way of scrapbooking. I used to be the type who fanatically cut papers, designs, photos, and stickers were all needed to properly scrapbook. I love that all you do is buy the kit, binder, and add pictures and your own words!

Bummer
Ever since I heard about Project Life I've super stoked to see what comes out next. The mini albums look like a great solution to all of my little projects or leftover photos I just need to put together in a nice and meaningful way. I finally put in my order for a mini album after settling on Kiwi (although I'd like to have all of the colors!). I got it last night in the mail and the front looked great - no issues with an off center window or excess glue on the edges as I've read in other reviews. Unfortunately as soon as I opened the book, there was something wrong with the photo sleeves. The first 4 pages look like they were dropped on the floor and pushed around with some amount of pressure. There was even still some dirt on sleeves. If it were just dirt, I wouldn't mind because it's easy to wipe off. But the pages are scratched and some small rocks made pretty deep indentations into the plastic from all the pressure. I even considered just cutting out the first 4 sheets.. but I'll exchange it and hope that the next one has clean pages. I love Becky Higgins products so I don't want to give up just yet.

Lovely color!
The color of this mini journal is a lime-ish/kiwi green, very bright and cheerful. The inside pages only hold 4 by 6 landscape photos with a 3x4 portrait orientation pocket next to each 4 x 6. So you are limited in your layouts. This book is a good small size and would work well for a dedicated event or theme project. Recommended, especially if you want to dabble in Project Life before committing to a larger 12 x 12 size!
