Hogue Smith Wesson S&W K or L Frame, Rubber Round Butt to Square Butt Revolver Grip - 19002

I bought the Hogue Rubber Grip S&W K or L Round Butt Rubber Conversion Style Monogrip for a 357 Magnum K frame round butt S&W revolver with a 2.5" barrel. This is a great firearm, but very snappy with 357 Magnum loads. I removed the wood grips and installed this conversion grip because it gives you the larger square butt grip for better hold and control. The rubber also helps to improve your grip and soaks up some of the jarring recoil. These grips fit very well, and were easy to install without any trimming or filing.I used to practice using mostly 38 rounds in this firearm because the 357 rounds were fairly unpleasant to shoot after a few rounds. I will still practice with 38 rounds, because they are cheaper, but I will shoot more 357 rounds now because these grips make it much better experience, and you need to stay accustomed to the muzzle blast/flash, and extra kick if your gonna load it with 357 Magnums when its on your night stand....

Owning my 686+ for many years. When using the stock grip, it's ok but I do not enjoy shooting a lot of 357 mag. Then somehow I changed to a wood grip which is beautiful but my hand hurt badly when shooting 357 mag. So I started leaving the 686 in the safe more. Then last week I purchased this Hogue grip with some doubts. I installed it and it looks great, better looking than any other rubber grips I have used. The best part is that it fits my hand so good and shooting 357 msg no longer hurts my hand (obviously, the accuracy is also improved a lot). From now on, I plan to have more fun with my baby 686+...

The stock grip that came with my new S&W 686 Plus is not bad, but I just had to have the sexy look and great feel of this Hogue aftermarket grip. As with other Hogue products the fit and finish is fantastic. I have medium to large hands and the grip feels very good. One thing I like about the look is the rear of the grip is partially open allowing a good bit of my highly polished frame to show through. The grip installed fairly easy and is a tight fit; no play at all. Oh, the open rear of the grip does not seem to affect felt recoil even using full-house .357 magnum loads. A very nice aftermarket product.

This improves control and comfort of hand gun

good quality, good fit.my only complaint to hogue is the design, where your middle finger on your hand wraps around the grip there is more rubber on the hogue than the smith grip. basically there is less room for your middle finger to wrap around the grip.

I exchanged my S&W 686 Plus Performance Center original wood grips for these. While the wood is eye appealing and looks good holstered, they lack shock absorption. These Hogue Rubber grips install easily w/o any additional modifications , are solid, and after firing a couple of hundred .357 Magnum my hand and wrist felt just fine. These are round to square butt grips, providing a larger absorption grip area.

Not the right grip for my gun. I've ordered others for the same firearm. This is not correct. I'm not received contact from the sender. Not very confident in the sender.

The stock wood grips on my Model 12 were very uncomfortable. This grip is not much, if any, wider than the stock grips, but it is larger below the frame and in front of the frame toward the trigger guard. This allows for a better grip. I am now able to wrap my hand around this grip comfortably, when before I had to fit a small grip in my large hand. My wife is also able to hold the firearm much more comfortably.This also improved my marksmanship. I am know holding a 2" group at 10yds in single action. Before I was happy staying inside a 4" group at the same distance.Installation is a breeze. Every thing you need is included.Just make sure you know the difference between a round butt and a square butt. I learned the hard way. Fortunately for me, Amazon helped me correct my mistake.
