Works with iPhone 6 Plus, simple and effective
This device works as designed and is quite simple. I've used it to mount my iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 4s, and an iPhone 3g without any problems. The inside face is lined with soft rubber. However, the inside of the clamps are lined with a simple plastic that is not soft. For this reason, I would recommend keeping your device in a case of some sort. The grip of the clamps is quite firm as well - and a case would alleviate any fears against "bending" a thinner device. All the phones I mentioned previously had a case on them when I used it with this holder. In the case of the iPhone 6 Plus, the clamps were near their maximum limit to open when installing the phone into it. But even then, I could still keep my iPhone 6 Plus in a more hefty case without installation problems. When using this with the Xshot selfie stick, it works well. The holder actually has two holes of your choice to mount to the Xshot selfie stick - one on the back, and one on the side. You can have your phone facing in any direction - with the screen facing you, or facing away - and everything in between. The grip is strong enough that I felt very confident that my big iPhone 6 Plus was not going to fall out - even when I swung the Xshot stick around. My only gripe is that I wish it used a screw-type clamp rather than the tension clamp that it has. For large phones like the 6 Plus, installation can be tricky due to the force of the clamp. Also, when you're out walking around stopping to mount your phone into the clamp can be somewhat annoying if you must do it repeatedly.

Reduced my FIVE STAR rating to ONE STAR because the holder broke!
I was pleasantly surprised to find the XShot Phone Holder to be such a compact little unit. Its spring loaded plastic body is thick and holds tightly once stretched across your phone. I agree with others the springs could stand to be a little softer. While I'd say that taking two hands to pull it off is a complaint, at least you don't have to worry about your $600 cell phone sliding out of it, that's for sure! The "teeth" that hold your phone are rubber and the face is a rubberized foam, all keeping scratches down and a firm grip on the phone. Again, no worries on your phone falling or sliding out of this holder. The plastic body feels rugged and the screw inserts solid, all while weighing very little. Best part is the logo is printed so that when in use, you're not displaying anyone's product name, which was the deciding factor for my purchase of this holder over the many others available. The XShot holder, which comes in a clear plastic bag with a cardboard top as seen in the photos (taken with a soda can as a size reference) is a really compact, light weight, multi-use cell phone accessory. From full size tripods to mini tripods, sticks and monopods, handles, hangers... if it has a 1/4" bolt you can attach your phone to anything using this holder to take pictures and videos... Your house, your car, motorcycle helmet, R/C cars, planes and helicopters! The possibilities are endless! As for my use, I purchased this holder to attach to a Neewer 1/4" inch foam handle, which when used in conjunction with a Hapurs Bluetooth Shutter Control makes taking photos with your phone an absolute blast! And, since the XShot holder has two screw inserts the Neewer Handle can be used as a prop for your phone, making at home use (watching videos, chatting, candid photos, etc) at lot easier! Plus, the Neewer 1/4" handle came with a metal clip that you can actually screw into the XShot phone holder, allowing you to slip a finger through the clip and even with both hands full you can carry your phone! Awesome!Unfortunately, after about six months of use, the XShot broke. It had been on a cell phone without being removed the entire time and apparently the high tension from the built in spring caused one of the jaws to simply snap off. Phone was never dropped, laid out in the sun or otherwise abuse and thankfully was in hand when the holder broke. I'll look at replacing it because the product is useful, but likely by another brand as only six months of use is simply inexcusable.UPDATE! I replaced this XShot with a Kootek which can be found here: Kootek® Smartphone Tripod Mount Adapter Holder Selfie Stick Clamp Attachment for iPhone 6 6 Plus 5s 5c 5, Samsung Galaxy S6 S5 S4 S3 Note 4 Note 3 Note 2, Nexus 5 6, Sony Xperia Z3 Z2, LG G3 and has lasted nearly a year so far without failing!

Son definitivamente una buena inversión, especialmente si estás utilizando un trípode para iPhone o DSLR. Well made, but does not accommodate thick cases
I thought I'd post a review to let others know that if you have a "rugged" case, you'll likely have to remove all or part of it before using this mount. I keep my Moto X phone in an Amazon i-Blason case (i-Blason Motorola Moto X Prime Series Dual Layer Holster Case with Kickstand and Locking Belt Swivel Clip) and the XShot opens plenty wide for it, but the jaws' "teeth" are not deep enough -- they just perch on top and bottom of case (like holding an ice cube gingerly with your front teeth). The i-Blason case is two parts; if I remove just the hard shell but leave the soft silicone shell still on the phone, the XShot mount then fits extremely securely! I can shake the mount vigorously every which way and the phone doesn't budge.Removing the case entirely, my Moto X (1st gen, 2-1/2" wide, 3/8" thick) fits perfectly, and equally as securely, still passing the shake test with no budges. I will not be at all concerned about the phone slipping out of the grips in vertical orientation, for example. The jaws will open to around 3-1/4" if you pull hard enough, but anything over about 2-3/4" feels wrong...like it might break the plastic extender rails and/or jaw. (Jaw opening is about 2-1/8" at rest.) All plastic construction except brass inserts for mounting threads (and presumably springs). Lightweight, compact, seems well designed & constructed.Well padded at all contact points with phone: rubber grips and foam backrest (where logo is).Would recommend, with the caveat that you may need to remove your case to use it.

Great but not for LG G3
I was looking for something to mount my phone to my camera rig so i could use it as a small monitor with the DSLR Controller app.I have the Arkon MG279 Mobile-Grip 2 which holds my phone in my car and can be detached from the suction base to use on a tripod via the screw thread. This works great but i wanted something dedicated to the job and a little longer lasting. The Arkon has a plastic screw thread. The Xshot holder looked promising and had so many great reviews but i wondered if it would fit my phone and case, the LG G3 with the Spigen Slim Armour. There is no information about which phones are compatible in the description so i asked but got no answers.I went ahead and bought it anyway.Today it arrived and although it does fit the LG G3 without the case, it's very tight and hard to attach as you have to stretch it to it's limit which can't be good for it. I can't comfortably recommend it for that particular phone. With the case on was out of the question. The actual length the Xshot extends to is 8cm/3". That being the distance between the inside of the rubber grips. The LG G3 is exactly 8cm with the case on but the case makes it too fat for both rubber grips to clamp onto it. The top grip pulls the case off the phone while the bottom doesn't even wrap around. The thing itself is great looking. The rubber grips hold the phone rock solid. The whole thing feels very well made and seems built to last.If only there was a slightly larger version. I was gonna give it 3 stars but decided to put my disappointment aside and just review the product for what it is. A great compact solution for mounting your phone to a tripod or anything with a 1/4" thread. So long as your phone is less than 7/7.5cm wide.

Me preocupa
Funciona bien.
