best coffee setup upgrade ever
I’ve had this machine for 3+ years and i wake everyone up in the morning smacking the lid of the massive hopper that i’ve never filled above 35g for pourovers (besides the occasional cold brew, but you can save the big hopper in the cabinet for that). I found when i rock the machine back and forth and hit the top, i get way less retention (down to 3-4g). I finally got this thing in the mail today and took my hopper off and replaced it with this. I could see 5+g retention in the burrs and on top. I put this attachment on and gave it a few pumps and it literally looks like i turned the machine over and hit it with an air compressor. this thing works so well and makes this grinder 10x better. See photo, i forgot to take a before photo but if you own this machine you’ll know that that is CLEAN. Also another review mentioned it being 3d printed - i was worried about this but you can barely notice. The top is a silicon material so you can get a nice little gust of air by pumping it

Updated: works well
UPDATE 2: After 1.5 years of use I have to admit - this was a great purchase. When you get used to it retention actually will be minimal. Recommend.UPDATE: Some cups of espresso later I finally figured out how to work with it. I managed to get into stable <1g retention between shots, which is pretty good for the grinder which isn't supposed to do such. How? I grind a dose in two steps - about 80-90% of beans during the first run. Then get the anti-popcorn weight out (it helps a lot with airflow) and then I do grind last 10-20% while constant tapping on the bellow. The goal is to make just grinded particles moving faster so they force to mov others which may stuck to the plastic surroundings around the burrs BEFORE last bean went through.Hope it will help somebody :) Learning curve, you know :)Keeping one start for myself - I still think it's not a good value for the money.INITIAL REVIEW: Initially I was really excited about this upgrade for my grinder, especially after reading all those happy reviews. After using it for about a two weeks now (had at least 20 cups of espresso since purchase) I have to say - I've never managed to blow the same am\mount of coffee out of my grinder. It's always about 3 grams short at the beginning (after clean up), and then it either varies -+ 1-2 grams. Never the same.If you are going to use your grinder with different coffee beans every shot (like one regular, next decaf) - now way they will be clean because always will be residue after previous shot, so keep that in mind. And yes, I've tried several different beans - same behavior.I've cleaned my grinder during that period at least 2 times to make sure that nothing clogged - it didn't help.Overall, I'm disappointed. As for "value for money" - it's horrible, but I expected it to be so - it's unique product ,the only one on the market. $3-ish worth of filament for 3d printing + rubber bellow.Creator and people who wrote 5* reviews and happy with their purchase, pls, teach me how to use it properly if you managed to get close-to-zero retention. Otherwise for me it's just waste of your money.

Works great
I'm glad that I got this, it works great. It was easy to install and looks like an official part of the grinder.

It's too expensive for what it is BUT ...
For me, it's a 3.5 start product. If you found breville smart grinder pro at a good price and were very happy with it. But you wanted to use it for different grind sizes to match your brews. With the factory hopper, you get stuck with coffee wastage because, every time you want to change the grind size, you have to run the grinder to purge the old coffee. Also, if you want to leave some amount of beans in the hopper for convenience, you know that some amount of ground coffee is still stuck in the grinder being exposed to air and such.It would be so nice, if you could convert it to a single-doze grinder, such that, you could weigh your beans for every doze and then just run the grinder all the way till it's fully empty. With this approach, you can change the grind sizes between brews without having to purge any coffee to waste. This is where this product comes in handy.Of course, it's too expensive, but if you really don't have a choice or desire to replace the grinder with true single-dose varieties, then this elegantly solves the problem. So, for that part, I like the product and would recommend it to you. Can't comment on it's longevity yet. Thx.

Love the hopper
Yes, it is made on 3D printer, yes, it’s expensive. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. I hated the hopper that comes with the grinder. It’s bulky, it’s ugly. I grind 19 g of beans at a time so don’t need that huge hopper. So glad I accidentally came across this hopper with bellow. Love it! Looks great, works great, fits perfectly. My espresso setup is complete!

Not Consumer-Grade: 3D Printed (FDM)
Product is 3D-printed with visible layers. I would expect a consumer-grade product to be at least injection-molded. The listing does not clearly indicate this detail.

Saved me from having to buy a new grinder
I originally bought my Breville Smart Pro Grinder for a multi-coffee-drinker house. It had to provide a number of different grinds in a day. Over time, it was dedicated to grinding just espresso and was wildly inconsistent. I started looking at expensive single-dose grinders to improve my shot quality, but had a hard time with prices. Then I found this mod. I thought it was a little expensive for what it does, but better than buying a whole new machine. Now I’m convinced it was worth every penny. It has fully converted my Breville into a single dose grinder, reducing retention and yielding way more consistent shots. Highly recommend.
