This was a great companion book to our main navigational aide: Route-66-EZ66-GUIDE-Travelers. I like the photos, info and suggestions. Get it and go get your kicks!

Excellent new addition to the collective works on small towns and their impact on and support from the Mother Road. Should be in all true "roadies" collection.

History and today combined for a very informative journey down 66.

Really not that helpful for a tourist. More like a series of puff pieces for the towns.

I also own three other books by Jim Hinckley and I'm a big fan of his work. His photos are a real treat and he also writes lots of interesting information. If you're looking for a tourist guide, that's not what his books are about - but if you love viewing many beautiful photos, his work is really wonderful.

Jim is an excellent author and brings his unique voice to this showcase of The Mother Road. Many accounts have been written about this historic highway, but Jim's new book does an excellent job at balancing historic significance with modern conditions. It's enough to inspire newcomers and old roadies alike to set out on a new journey. Lots of great photos throughout, too!
