I am very pleased with this product. It was on the low-cost spectrum, and I expected it wouldn't be as good as my drill... but it actually is. In fact, it worked better. I use it for trimming and thinning fungus thickened nails. For me, this is the only way to control them to keep them from growing in-grown or becoming too thick. They file down quite nicely. I have been slowly getting rid of the fungus, but when my drill died on me, I procrastinated in ordering another one. This one is so easily handled. It has plenty of power and anything you need comes with it. I totally sculpted my nails, flattening out the raised high ridges and drilling down the thickness. My toenails are so much better looking now, it's hard to see that I have a problem at all. My toenails look totally normal to anyone not specifically holding a magnifying glass to my toes (whew, how creepy). No more pain, fungus is so easily treated (I use vinegar water to soak and treat with a silicone toe cover, wash, rinse, etc.). It's impossible to treat the fungus with the thickness and hardness of the nails... trim both the ends and the surface and the treatment is absorbed 20 times better than leaving the nail thickened and trying to treat. I had to have my husband help me before. He loves this gadget because it is so handy, simplified to hold and manipulate. The power is very strong... no difference to my plug-in. To be honest, I don't know how long the battery lasts, because it's never stopped on me, yet. I've even used it successfully on my dog and cat nails. Being wireless, not overly heavy or large (easy to manipulate) helped more than I thought. All my fur babies have no problem now as it's not as scary as the other plug-in that I was using. They seem much more receptive. They still don't like it but are not totally freaked out and remain reasonably comfortable. Recommend.

I got this with the sole purpose to grind my dogs nails on my own. I had to watch a bunch of youtube videos on how to properly use all of the attachments and also how to grind dog nails but it works very well. I was scared to hurt my dog as he has black nails and cannot see the quick very well but he did great! It's very quiet and has multiple settings for different speeds. I will be grooming my dogs nails myself from now on. The led light is also very important and very helpful.

I use this for nails as a dog groomer and it works very well. The battery does last most of the day but I have to place it on charge anytime I'm not using it to make sure it makes it through the day. It comes with a lot of attachments and files which is wonderful. The power it is has is great and the weight isn't too heavy.

The quality overall is very impressive. The Avid Rotary tool not only feels like quality when held in hand, but the ability of selecting specific speed selections assures identical performance when using on the same type of item that you're grinding/drilling/sanding/ or cutting on again. The output performance is smooth, and sounds qualitative in nature. This type of tool is also excellent when using the cylindrical shaped sander tool for grinding you dog's toenails. They don't seem to mind it a bit after being introduced to the Avid's quiet motor. Great product. I highly recommend the purchase.

I love the tool. its got a great weight to battery life to power ratio. I am podiatrist and use it tool as the one of the most important things in my practice. The problem is that they don't all work. I have bought 5 of them, and 2 of the work fine and other 3 done. it either heats up too quickly, or starts making EXTREMELY LOUD noise. Its getting very annoying that so many of these have this issue. I have returned and gotten another sample, but ends up with same issue. So its definitely a quality control issue. If AVID Power can contact me that would be great.

I now use this for engraving and many other things, love the zip cut, great for small jobs like cutting off bolts etc. Now item is $101.00 in 2023, bought this July 11, 2021 for $39.99 CDN, I thought it was worth every penny, is most popular rotary tool no wonder the huge price jump. Now I have to go and buy an inferior one for a replacement and it will probably be pink and 3.7 volt for $17.00

Avid Power responded almost immediately and state that the charger is a wide voltage charger and can handle voltages from 110 to 240 volts. I am impressed with their response time. Now I can charge the rotary tool and use it. Yay! Thank you Avid for your customer centricity.I also changed the rating from 1 to 5.—————————-I was very excited to receive the Avid Power Cordless Rotary Tool. I quickly unpacked it and read the instructions. The first task was to charge the tool. I was extremely disappointed when I found out that the power rating of the charger is 120 volts AC, 50 Hz. The power rating in Singapore is 220-240 volts 50 Hz. So what do I do? Can the charger handle the 240 volts or, do I return it? HELP!!

It’s light enough to use and strong enough to do the job

This rotary tool probably isn't as good as a Dremel, but most of the time that doesn't really matter. It's more than enough for quick fixes, and a lot easier than dragging out and setting up my Mastercraft rotary tool.I like the bag, which opens so that you can easily access all of the contents and has semi-rigid walls for structure and protection. However, it would be nice if there was some elastic inside to hold the plastic accessory box. I might add some velcro strips to do that, or maybe 3D-print something to make better use of the space.The tool is sufficiently powerful. My only concern is that the button to lock the chuck in place (for attaching bits) looks and feels a lot like a power button. It would have been better if it wasn't quite so prominent, and I might wrap a rubber band around it to prevent myself from absentmindedly pushing it while the tool is running. That might suck.I wish that this could be charged via USB instead of having its own proprietary AC adaptor. At least the adaptor is small and lightweight.Overall, this is a handy tool that offers decent value. Just keep in mind that an actual Dremel will be more versatile due to the various attachments they sell (which won't fit onto this tool).

I use this dremel for my dogs nail (bought a separate tip) and I love how I can adjust the speed. The light makes it super easy to see what I’m doing. The battery life lasts a long time for me, but then again I am only using it for a couple minutes every couple weeks.
