It sucks, it blows, I love it!
This does exactly what it needs to do, in a form factor that is no more and no less than it needs to be. It's been used a bunch if times now for soldering and easily removes the smoke, drawing it through the filter and blowing out cleaned air. My son was starting to learn to solder and I did not want him subjected to the rosin fumes. This unit works perfectly. It moves a lot of air and is relatively quiet. I couldn't be happier with this device and would highly recommend it.

Noisy but works great
A little noisy but works great at removing solder fumes.

Works fine, it's a fan and a filter.
Basically it's just a simple fan and a cover to hold a carbon filter. I can see my solder smoke get sucked right in, I keep it just a few inches away from my work. I put the spare filter in as well to get better filtering. It is not quiet, but not unbearable.

Works great with a strong pull of air.
Got this because I do occasional soldering with keyboards and some small hardware. This worked great. It has a decently strong pull of air and the filter worked to capture solder smoke. The fan being small is also a positive in a cramped workspace. Can't imagine this fan not being as good or better than the other options out there.

Works Great!
Easy to plug in and set up, also comes with an extra filter! You can see the soldering fumes get sucked straight in! Not terribly loud and very sturdy with a metal exterior.

Just move away from the smoker. They don't care about you at all
I'm sure it works for soldering Great. However if you wake me and you were hoping to relieve of yourself a stinky ass smoker, Even though you have them confined to one room with the door shut... And a window open, and a fan blowing out that window.... You'll find this is at best 50% helpful. There really is no good product for that.Just move away from your smoker. Just abandoned the smoker. Because they don't care about you.

It's small but mighty
When I got the package I thought this is tiny like a toy. I didn't have a soldering to do but I did have some sanding. I put it a good distance from the work, at least a couple feet, and as I sanded I noticed it was sucking up all the sawdust. It was to wash it out. Later I tried it with a soldering project and it worked flawlessly.

Just set it up and WOW!
The media could not be loaded. This is a powerful little fan. Has a nice weight to it as well. Feels and looks like a high quality unit. Love the 2 fans which packs a punch on cigarette smoke. It’s exactly what I was looking for. Smoke gets trapped in the filter and almost nothing comes out the back of it, if anything at all. I can’t tell but the smoke is getting sucked right into it. I like that it’s compact enough that I can move it around easily. I’m a little nervous of the cord where it comes out the side of it. It bends really easily and looks like it could short over time. I’ll come back and give an update after a month of use and let you know how its working. Also, I bought the carbon filter material so I could cut my own and it’s SOOOO much cheaper that way. I would imagine that I will be replacing the filter often but that also goes with the territory. I know this isn’t the intended purpose of the fan, but I’m not the only one who uses one of these for this purpose. SO FAR, SOOOO GOOD!
