Good value gift, Barbie with "normal" body
We got this as a gift for a 4 year old. I like that the Barbie has a more "normal" body, with wider hips and strong muscles and darker hair as the girl we got it for also has brown hair. I feel this allows for important pretend play without passing subliminal messages about beauty standards. The outfit is cute and overall good value as it includes some accessories. In my opinion for a birthday, this is a main gift and you don't need to get anything else apart from the birthday card.

I bought the doll for my little niece who loves Barbie dolls. I chose it especially for the hair colours and I was thrilled to see my niece loves it as well. I was expecting the hair to feel more like natural, hence the rating.

Positive Body image Barbie
To be honest I got this for my little girl as it was on sale and Christmas is expensive. However we were really happy that the barbie had a positive body image as opposed to the super skinny, unrealistic body shape of “normal” barbies. I think it’s a great message to send to little children that we all have different body types. The hair is long and great accessories, bought while on sale so definitely great value for money for me. One extremely happy little girl here
