Air Hogs Sharpshooter Gunship 1 Vehicle

I bought this Air Hogs RC - Sharpshooter Long Shot R/C Helicopter for my grandson and he adores it. I was distressed by the iffy reviews, but this was the one he wanted. I bought him the extended warranty, as well, and guess what? It's still working like a champ, and my grandson still loves it!!! The extended warranty turned out to be perfect for preventing the helicopter from breaking! Ha!

I bought this for my son for Christmas. When we opened it the charger that goes from the remote to the helicopter doesn't actually fit the helicopter. This means he got to play with it for less than 10 minutes before the helicopter had no power. He was only able to get it off the ground twice. I've tried contacting air hogs 4 times and each time there is a different reason I can't get through to customer service.

It's very fun but the batteries don't last long at all.. With a full charge the kids got less than 30 minutes of play with it. Also, it's pretty loud for being designed as an indoor toy. It was kind of hard for the 7 year old to steer but we had lots of laughs!

My grandson was thrilled with this r/c helicopter.

Small part holding the stabilizer bar to the top rotor broke within 2 weeks of light use. Contacted customer service to see if I could buy a replacement part. They said no replacement parts were available, but that it was under warranty so if I provided information to them, they would replace the entire helicopter. I provided said information, but haven't received any responses verifying whether or not a replacement will be actually issued. I've waited over a month, sending them various emails asking for an update/confirmation, but still haven't received a response. I'd recommend avoiding this brand, due to both poor quality product and extremely poor customer service.

I could only get the controller to work if I lightly kept pressure on the on/off switch. Even then the helicopter only seemed to listen to the controller about half the time and you have to point the controller directly at the helicopter.When I finally managed to get the thing to work consistently for more than 30 seconds, the helicopter hit a wall and broke. I've never wasted $45 bucks so quickly!
