I had a similar piece where the ABS ring broke and luckily I found this one as replacement. Fits perfect and I don't have to buy the whole shower slider bar.

The shower head still droops in use. It locks properly when not in use, but the weight with water causes it to slip and drop. Maybe a lighter shower head would work

I have a Grohe fitting in my bathroom and the shower handle clamp / holder had cracked. I tried finding a genuine Grohe replacement but could not. This looked similar so I decided to give it a try. The fit and finish is almost like the original. Not sure about the material quality and strength through.
