Dorman 667-534 Turbocharger Boost Solenoid Compatible with Select Ford/Lincoln Models

I replaced the original boost solenoid about 1 year ago due to a P0234 Code on my 2.0L Ecoboost Fusion. After about 6 months I began to feel really bad engine surging at part throttle just when boost starts. Full throttle was fine. After a LOT of troubleshooting I replaced the Dorman boost solenoid with a STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS unit and this fixed the problem. This is not a great product.OK here is an update on the turbo surging.It seems that my turbo is starting to leak a small amount of oil from the seals. This oil enters the boost solenoid and causes it to operate improperly. The STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS unit failed in about a month. I blocked off the hose leading to the wastegate actuator and the car runs much better but not perfect. It has not produced a code yet.

I have a 2013 Ford focus st and was experiencing P0234 over boost symptom, this part fixed it but 3 months later my waste gate started surging, I replaced it with a "standard motor parts" one here on Amazon and that fixed the issue, the standard motor parts one seems to be of a better quality

On a 2013 Ford F150 (3.5L V6 ecoboost), I would consistently get a check engine light every time I drove out west or anywhere higher elevation. This has been occurring since the truck was new. I've carried medium loads when this engine light came on, but I've never towed any trailers or very heavy loads so it seems to be related to higher elevations. At first, I thought it was lower Octane gas and switched to higher Octane when traveling, but this didn't help. The code would always clear once I returned to north Texas. After researching, it seems this is a common part that causes this issue. So, I've replaced it with this Dorman 667-534 (photo shows original part on right, new on left for comparison).So far, tested the truck afterwards and it drives normal. The turbo-boost kicks in at highway speeds without issue. However, I won't know if it's solved the check engine light until I drive it out West again. I'll come back and update this review once I'm able to confirm this. I'm excited and hoping this part has addressed my issue.

Unfortunately this product didn't last long. I bought the name brand thinking it would be high quality but it stopped working after a couple months. I now have to replace the part again. Wish there was a warranty on this product offered by the seller.

Inferior parts quality. Lasted less than a year. Buy Standard automotive parts instead or Motorcraft for this application

Becareful ording this sensor. This part is not compatible with the electrical connection/harness with my 2016 Escape 1.6L.

Had a overboost code on my 2016 Ford Fusion. Narrowed it down to this part. It isn't the easiest part to change due to the location but once fixed, the engine light went off and the car stopped puffing smoke upon start. Great product so far a month after replacement.
