sturdy old time EDC for older boys
My grandson and his best friends are both Cub Scouts. When they were 10 their father and I took them to my remote cabin for a week of "roughing it." I watched them carefully as they were allowed to use various sharp implements. They were properly cauyious. So,with both mother's okay I gave each one a Shrade Stockman. They carry them daily and find them a useful tool. After a year and a half they are still using the appropriately.

Photo is misleading
The photo does not show the true size of this knife and it appears that the blade is larger than the handle. The written dimensions are correct. This is a well made knife and the finish is very good. The blades are sharp. As with most similar types of pocket knives, there is no lock for the blades.

Nice enough knife at this price point
Positives: Nice looking, good fit and finish, good size for an EDC, certainly inexpensive.Negatives: Blades are too hard to open. I've had to use tools to open to spare my fingernails. Most importantly, the blades don't want to take a good, sharp edge. I'm fairly good at sharpening knives but these blades will simply not get as sharp as I would like, and I've tried several different sharpening tools.

A decent stockman knife for the money
Pros:Tight lockup when the blades are openInexpensiveArrived decently sharpCons:Fairly minor, I don't like how much the bottom of the blades stick up over the scales when it's closed. It is difficult to open at first. I oiled it with mineral oil, which helped, and am going to open it a lot over the next week and see if it loosens up. I'll update this review if it does. Edit: it only took about two days to loosen up. Mineral oil helped, as did some silicon grease in the bolster/tang area. It's opens pretty well now. It's good for what it costs. It's not Case quality in terms of fit and finish, but that would cost 4-5 times more. It's a perfectly functional tool. I bought it because I have another stockman knife that is 60 years old (American Blade AB-22) given to me by my grandfather and I didn't want to carry that around and risk losing it. This is the same style, and reminds me of him when I use it since he also collected some old imperial pocket knives in addition to the AB stockman, and it won't matter too much if I lose this one or break it.

Awesome knife!
This knife is extremely well crafted, it comes extremely sharp and is very handy to useI have had knives cost 2 to 3 times as much as this knife and were not anywhere near the quality.I am very happy and I’m buying one for my grandson!🙃

Great Knife.
Made well. Sharp blades. Alot of knife for the money. Best multiblade knife for the money. Performs great. A bit on the heavy side, but that is what a well made knife should feel like. The size is good , not too large and not too small.

Very sharp and seem to be very well made
I don't like a large pocket knife and I don't like a small one either. These are just right for my needs

Good enough
I inherited an older pearl handled Case. I found I was using it at work all the time and stopped caring my box knife. so I got this one instead because I liked the feel and size but didn’t won’t to abuse/ruin the family heirloom. The blades are slightly different but similar enough. It does the job for the price even if it doesn’t make it a full year it’s pretty equivalent to the box knives I was getting.
