Small and solid. Nice color. It has a fairly high tone. I don't know if I would be able to blow this as hard as I can with my weakened body in the event of a disaster, but I think it would be much easier than shouting. I live in Japan, where there are many disasters, so I think this is a must-have item. There are cheap ones on the market, but they are meant to last a long time, so the cooler the better.

Very nice colors and lightweight. The cord that comes with it is adjustable--took me time to figure that out. You have to pull one one of the cords to extend it. Not that comfortable though. Which took of one point of the ranking.The whistle is ~4 cm length. It's fine for my needs.

The paracord around the whistle itself that connects it to the necklace, sucked, so we took that off completely and just threaded the necklace through so it can never fall off. This whistle is LOUD.. so it's perfect! I bought it as a self defense aid, so I'm hoping I never "need" it but it does make me feel a bit better to have it on me.

great design and function

Packaging was good enough to be gifted. It was sturdy and nice enough to wear as a necklace. I purchased for myself and picked this one because I could have it on the provided rope.I am rating it low because even though I thought I put it on the rope and gave it a good knot, it fell off the very first time I wore it. So you could say it is my fault that it fell off however if there is a specific way to knot a rope, those instructions should have been provided.

The whistle sounds like just what I was wanting. Perfect!
