Not leak proof or air tight for liquids, but if you wanted to use them for other spices like granulated onion, garlic, bay leaves, rosemary, tarragon, chili powder, Parmesan cheese, etc. they would be suitable; especially if cooking for a lot of people all at once. Obviously, if not used up within a week, the freshness of anything you keep in it will be limited. Appearance and functionality is great! I appreciate how easy they are to grasp in my hands as I do have arthritis in my joints and fingers. I don't own a dishwasher, but they are easy to wash and dry by hand.Con: None for me. They are empty of salt, pepper, or any other ingredients so you can buy fresh herbs, and fill them halfway or to the top as you like. Recommended!

I like this set but have noticed the tops start to unscrew a little when they are slightly twisted to adjust them to dispense the salt and pepper. It isn't a huge inconvenience and just slightly annoying. There is quite a difference in the gradual hole openings for salt/pepper flow and I've found them very useful for pouring for recipes as well as seasoning food before cooking or at the table. They are a good size, which prevents refilling often. All in all, I'm mostly satisfied with the set.

These are perfect, I've searched for this exact item. It's large, has different size holes and a solid opening also. Very attractive, easy to open and fill. I've bought several to replace all the plastic containers. My Himalayan Pink Salt came in what I thought was a paper container but it's actually plastic with a paper overwrap, so I'm not using that because microplastics shed over time.I am also using these for my Tony's and other spices. I'm avoiding plastic as much as possible, and this is a great alternative.

We really like this set of shakers, which are the perfect size for everyday use. The best feature on the shakers is the adjustable pour hours, no longer one size fits all, you get to set the flow rate. The body is made of glass, and the cover is made of stainless steel. The price is acceptable based on the product’s quality.
