I have bought this journal several times for my children. I love how the prompts are open ended enough that they could write just a sentence or a whole paragraph. I love the simple reflections at the end of the day. One of my kids is a writer and uses all the space, and the other just writes a handful of words, but they enjoy taking a few minutes at the end of the day to write a few things. The brief confidence-building messages are also great at this tween age. I also recently bought it for my early elementary school aged child, but they haven't had a chance to use it yet (it's a gift). I think it will also work for this age and be a good reflection.

This was a hit! I bought it for my 9 year old daughter who really got into journaling. She loved it! It was easy for her to read and understand! She thought it was so fun! The cover and pages a strong and good quality!

Excellent journal for kids to work on growth and emotional regulation. My son has some emotional deregulation issues and this journal has allowed him to reflect and use his tools and strategies more often to calm himself. Highly recommended for parents looking to work through behavioral or emotional issues with their kiddos. Overall fun and easy to use as well. Great value for the money!
