Peugeot Paris u'Select Pepper Mill Wood Passion Red 18 cm - 7in

It is French, what else needs to be said. I ordered this by mistake thinking it was a salt grinder not a pepper mill. I had recently ordered a salt mill from Fletcher’s Mills but I did like it because they stopped using metal parts and started using nylon parts for the salt mill I received. It works good and there is nothing wrong with it but I feel somehow cheated because the parts are not metal, so that is why I ordered the one by Peugeot but by mistake I ordered a pepper mill and not a salt mill, so now I have to order a Peugeot salt mill. Back to the pepper mill, the gloss finish is beautiful, there are adjustment indicator lines from course to fine. Most of the parts are metal and to me that seems correct. I like the feel of the Fletcher's Mill better in my hands.

These are the best pepper mills out there. Their grind selection makes it easy to get the perfect grind every time. I have two in my kitchen and one for my dining room.

What I like, is that this Peugeot Paris u'Select pepper mill (passion red, 18-cm or 7-inch) arrived in excellent condition, and it has functioned perfectly, since 11 November 2023. The stunning passion red color is gorgeous! By the way, my Peugeot pepper mill arrived without the Tan Hoi Vietnamese pepper, which is usually added to the Paris u'Select pepper mills, for final assembly and testing. A potential concern, is the possibility of the splitting of the bottom selector ring. Why is this a concern? A sizeable number of reviewers of other Peugeot Paris u'Select pepper mills (in natural wood, black, and blue colors) indicated that the wooden bottom selector ring had split open. The reported splitting occurred either before delivery or within two years of ownership.

Love this but with my arthritis the smaller size is harder to turn than the taller size

I have three of these grinders in different colors for different peppercorns. These are by far my favorite grinders. Precise, easily adjustable, and durable. I definitely recommend.

I love this pepper grinder! Works well and looks gorgeous … so happy with this! It is more expensive than others but I think it will probably last forever. Highly recommend!

It’s just a shame - this brand was known for its high quality but the pepper mill I got was just not up to snuff. It grinds well for a few turns but then the next 30 barely anything comes out.

J'utilisais jusqu'ici le moulin à poivre le plus basique disponible sur le marché : le poivrier Ducros, vendu en supermarché avec des grains de poivre noir. Sitôt ai-je reçu ce poivrier Peugeot, un produit réputé, que je m'empressa de détruire mon petit poivrier en verre (enfin plus exactement sa partie en plastique) pour remplir mon tout nouveau poivrier en bois. Et la comparaison des moutures fut rapide... Mon Ducros n'offrait qu'une "finesse" de mouture grâce à son mécanisme tout en plastique : très grossière. En comparaison, la mouture la plus grosse proposée par le Peugeot est déjà plus fine. Mais la grosse différence se fait quand on utilise le réglage permettant de moudre finement, car la finesse de la mouture permet de choisir entre la saveur du poivre (mouture grossière) et le piquant du poivre (mouture fine). C'est ce que j'avais lu, et c'est bien la réalité. Mon poivre noir Ducros moulu finement dans le Peugeot révèle alors tout son piquant ; la différence est énorme ! Peugeot ajoute au nom de son produit "u'Select" ; ceci indique que l'on peut choisir soi-même la finesse de la mouture ; sur ce modèle, il y en a 6 différentes. Je me suis contenté pour le moment de ne tester que les deux finesses extrêmes, la plus fine et la plus grosse, et si visuellement j'aurais pensé voir une plus grosse différence, au niveau du goût/piquant, on l'a sent là aussi très clairement. Vous trouverez des articles et des vidéos sur le net expliquant l'histoire des moulins à poivre Peugeot. Je vous invite à aller les consulter, vous comprendrez que ce produit est une référence en cuisine, et ce, depuis fort longtemps. Concernant ce modèle, son design est donc typiquement ancien, connu de tous les amateurs de bonne cuisine, mais sa peinture laquée bleu pacifique lui donne un look résolument moderne. Quand à sa taille de 18cm, elle est parfaite en main. En conclusion, je recommande vivement ce produit pour votre cuisine.

Not a fan of the car brand Peugeot, but looooove the peppermills. This adjustable-grind mill is top notch! Highly recommended if you're a pepperhead like I am. It operates smoothly, consistently, and generates a laudible quantity of ground pepper (even on the finest setting) without feeling like you just went to the gym.
