Dansand No Grow 10KG Easy Fix Ready Mixed Patio Brush in Jointing Paving Sand (Beige)

Absolutely useless. I took multiple bags to do the driveway and back patio. Not only did it not suppress weed growth it actually made them grow back faster and bigger than before! You can’t jet wash to remove the weeds the easy way and have to do it by hand. To add insult to injury, every time there is a bit of rain it washes away the sand. Literally money down the drain.

FRANKLY, I HAVEN'T TRIED TO USE IT, HAVING READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, WHICH IS MORE DETAILED THAN I THOUHT THEY'D BE, MAINLY, DON'T APPLY IN THE RAIN; WELL, IT'S BEEN A SUMMER OF EXTREME HIGH TEMPORATURES AND HEAVY RAIN. AND I WAS DISAPOINTED TO READ THAT IT DOESN'T PREVENT WEEDS FROM RETURNING BY KILLING EXISTING ROOTS. WELL, I'VE GOT IT AND I'LL USE IT, NEXT SPRING, SO WE 'LL SEE. TROUBLE IS, THE BUGGER'S WILL HAVE REAPPEARED BY THEN.

Didn’t use it right away. I wound up keeping it in the bag on the floor in my outhouse for a few months, but it was still bone dry and extremely easy to use. I don’t have a whacker plate, and have found that a fair bit of it has blown around the patio or washed out, and worms/insects have crawled up through it in multiple spots bringing mud up with them. Would be better if it actually hardened but patio is still looking better than it was.

Used as directed, brushed into the gaps and then sprayed with water, but it didn’t set at all, so no different to just using normal soft sand.
