INSIDE / LIMBO Double Pack - PlayStation 4

This review is for Inside. I couldn't really stand playing Limbo as it felt like I was playing a game built with adobe flash. I'd skip Limbo and just get Inside unless you're really a big fan or something.Overall a really nice game (side scroller) that makes you feel like you're in one of those animated digital shorts set in a dystopian world. It's about 4 hours gameplay if you breeze through the puzzles and I like the pace. As a working professional I like the option of having shorter games where I don't have to spend hundreds of hours to finish them because time really is the most precious thing: I can't get back wasted time. The puzzles in this game blend in well with the environments and they are well thought out: it is really a one of a kind type of game. And yes, this is mostly a moderately paced puzzle game so if you're looking for action look elsewhere.Having said that there is no replay value in this so it's a one and done kind of deal, so if you're the type that likes to look for hidden secrets and Easter eggs after beating the game you won't find that here. It's just not that sort of game and I'm fine with that.I enjoyed this game and I played this before trying to play Limbo and I couldn't stand to play Limbo because it was just too inferior in comparison so if I had a choice I'd probably opt to get only Inside if it shaved $5 off my price tag.Inside is worth the buy if you're just looking for a unique experience. Limbo not so much.

I would say just on the verge of retro gaming. My first real video game was Super Mario Bros. I know that shows my age a little bit, but it does point out the type of games that I remember from my childhood. These games harken back to that. but as time went on I became a little darker, a little more interesting, "unique." Basically, I'm into horror movies, scary video games, and all black clothing. These games fit right in with that aesthetic. They're creepy and they're difficult and they're dark and they're adults, but they still have the whimsy of those early video games. They are short, maybe 4 hours each, but well worth the price. And as an added bonus, they arrived sooner than expected, brand new and packaged to ensure they remained in good condition. Five stars for the games, five stars for the seller.

Great gameplay and unwritten story

The guy who made this game had a great imagination. The puzzles really make you think but don't get you totally frustrated like some puzzle games. Be prepared to die a lot while trying to figure things out. Thankfully the reload back to life is quick.Had to update my review . After playing a little longer, I have come to a couple of areas that had me completely stumped. Would probably have been totally frustrated if not for the help of people on you tube. Still give it five stars.😁

Loves these 2 games!

I bought this combo primarily for Limbo (based on a YouTube review), but Inside is just as enjoyable. Both games have a wonderful atmospheric quality distinct from each other, and the game designs are perfectly matched to their themes. Game play is challenging in all the right places, but won't induce rage-quitting. Both are a fun way of revisiting the old side-scrollers of yesteryear without feeling dated or obsolete.
