It is good
I saw lots of videos people are using this kind of WDT but after I tried it, to be honest it is a lot of money as I have a $10 WDT doing the same and shots are great

Sold Tool, Adjustable needle depth.
I was a little hesitant to purchase this with the lack of reviews at the time. The quality of this tool is high. It's very weighty Does what it was designed to do.Loved the fact that you can change the needle depth.Very happy I bought.

Needles not long enough
The needles do not reach even halfway through the ports filter. Sturdy tool but it doesn’t do anything to stir the grinds.

Flimsy and poor performing
I used this product in a commercial setting for three months. I was diligent in its cleaning and care.Right out of the box, the thing doesn’t not do as it advertised because the needles are too big to break up many clumps, and left big holes in the coffee which lead to channeling too many times. With that being said, it does distribute the grounds more evenly, so it was slightly better than having a mound of coffee in the center of the portafilter. Many of the needles also bent or broke off. This is to be expected, however there is no way to replace them. This meant that sections of the coffee could no longer be “combed”.Over time, the distributor only performed worse and worse, until the bearings that allowed it to twist completely seized and it would no longer complete any of its duties.I would recommend getting a distributor with a more randomized distribution pattern, and with replaceable needles. They may be slightly more expensive, but have lasted longer and performed better.

I want to love this....but I just can't.
The build quality, design, and idea of this are all amazing. However, it does a poor job as a distribution tool and sifter. I tried using this tool daily for about 2.5 weeks at various needle length settings however I got poor to mixed results. Using this tool, the coffee grounds in my portafilter would be more clumped together in certain areas and not at all evenly distributed. Furthermore, it would create consistent gaps in the coffee grounds to promote channeling rather than prevent it. My guess is that the needles are placed and travel too uniformly and create too consistent a gap and path in the grounds compared to the randomness that the simpler whisks can get. Perhaps there is a setting or technique that prevents this but, personally, I will be switching back to the tried and true whisk-style sifter + distribution tool.

This is the real deal without the heavy price tag.
The materials used are of high quality, You will be shocked at how heavy and sturdy the device is. Depth adjustment took me a minute to figure out but once your depth is set, it works like a charm. Similar devices with this type of quality are asking for 150.00 to over 200.00. Why?

It creates a mess
The result after turning divice is a bit of mess. The coffee is pushed out to edges of portafilter and the distribution is very choppy at best. Would not recommend. Mine did not turn properly.

Great Espresso distribution too
I am very impressed by this espresso distribution too. Before I got good espresso shots often, now I get them right all the time.
