Hip Brace – Hip Brace for Women and Men, Supports Hip Pain Relief and Aids Hip Injury Recovery, Reduces Swelling, Designed for Support, Comfort, & Mobility (Right Leg, Large)

The sizing on this "brace" is difficult, however, 4 months out from glut. medius tear (complete), I have found it essential. It keeps the swelling down (pain, too), and makes exercises easier. For women, particularly, this needs to be sized up significantly. Would recommend taking the thigh measurement at the upper (not mid) thigh. Women have broader hips and upper thighs than men. This will not fit unless you adjust for this gender difference. The waist has elasticity and, also, the velcro itself allows for considerable adjustment at the waist/stomach. I had a laproscopic repair of a (complete) gluteus tear following an injury. Recovery takes months and swelling exacerbates the pain. If sized correctly, this hip "brace" controls swelling and decreases pain. I do not find it flimsy. As a woman, i would size up two complete sizes, even if you are at the low end of the recommended size range. My measurement indicated a size medium would fit. It was too small, so I ordered a size large. It was also too small so I ordered the XL. It is still tight and the edging at the bottom of the leg cuts. I am a woman,, 5'9" and weigh 172 pounds. Keep in mind, it is made in Tiawan where the average (medium? ) man is 5'7" & weighs 153 lbs and the average woman is 5'1" & weighs 126 lbs.. Agree with another reviewer, it is proportioned for men - not women.

For $95 I expected much more than sock material which would offer no support at all. I must have it replace with the first one instead of return. I have sent both back. The second one being the replacement was not opened.

I am 5,2.140 pounds. I have finally got an extra large in this product which does make my hip feel much better walking. Every other size I tried was ridiculously small. Someone needs to get this product in another manufacturer and do it right. It’s still tight around my stomach, but I can tolerate that ,that’s where my weightis .I had a left hip replacement two years ago and finally after going to another doctor and being ordered in ultrasound found that I have a 40% gluteal medius tear. I have been told that they can’t do surgery although I certainly would have it done if I could find someone that would fix it. I have tried other hip braces and they’re all just bulky or ridiculously hard to put on. This is more expensive but for pain relief it’s worth it.

This hip brace is a lifesaver for me when my hip gets to hurting. I like wearing it to bed and I wake up the pain gone! The velcro hangs on tight...no worries that it will come undone. While it is not the most comfortable things in the world, if you order up a size or two (they run small), it will be very helpful, especially if you tend to have meaty thighs...

I have several other Incrediwear items, and they all seem to work pretty well, maybe not life changing, especially given the price, but good products. This one is a swing and a miss. The sizing on this is done by the widest part of your thigh, easy peasy. I ordered a size appropriate to my measurement, and was eagerly awaiting this as I have residual soft-tissue issues status post a hip replacement. Got it in and slipped it on, and the fit in the thigh is spot on. The problem is unless you're waify supermodel thin, there's NO WAY the waist strap is going to go around your middle. I'm not morbidly obese, but I'm a bigger guy - 6'1" and 208#. I couldn't get the strap anywhere close to fitting with the brace pulled up as directed. The only way I could just barely get the strap to connect to the very small patch of female velcro was to wear the strap around my hips, under my belly, which turns this into a thigh brace instead of a hip brace. It's a shame, had this been a workable size, I can easily see how it would be helpful for my issue. Be aware, even if you are waify and can wear this as it's designed, there's simply no way to use the restroom without pulling it pretty far down.

I am small ( 5’ 103 lbs) but I am also a woman anf have good sized hips. It grabs me in the upper leg. perhaps it is meant to do that. just feels a little awkward. It immediately relieved hip pain that had been causing knee pain. I could walk steadily without the knee suddenly shifting around and causing pain. I have to get a hip replacement about 4 to 6 weeks after I have orthoscopic knee surgery. this was a great release. I just wish I knew there was such a thing as a hip brace a year ago when the pain first became constant. I do recommend this product and I’m glad I bought it even though it was more expensive than the other hip braces

This was such a game changer for my SIJoint injury! I fell in my hip and was in so much pain I could not move- I could not do any PT for a few weeks for the pain. This kept my pelvis from moving too much. It is soft and comfortable and the cinch up is so adjustable !! I used this until I could walk without assistance. My fall bruised my ligaments in my pelvis and the pain put me in a wheelchair for two weeks full time and a walker for two weeks as I tried so hard to heal this myself without surgery and movement is important in the right way to keep the joint fluid. I was also using crutches to hobble to the restroom at night - using ice and some OTC meds for pain… mostly arthritis Tylenol …and 98% arnica gel for pain rub.. which I also ordered from Amazon occasionally using frankensense essential oil for worsening pain - I was able to graduate to cane walking after 5 weeks and now walk without assistance. However I still occasionally wear this support on days my hip feels fatigued so that I don’t over do it! I am 5’9”” and weigh 180 lbs and I am 65 years old I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly. Washes beautifully (be sure to attach the Velcro before washing.)
