Gekors Bicycle Disc Brake Pads for Shimano XTR/Deore/XT/SLX/Hone/Alfine,1 Pair with a Spring

I ride a heavy ebike in steep terrain and was going through lots of brake pads until I tried these ceramic pads. They definitely last longer and perform much better with hard use, however plan to also replace your rotors when they do wear out as the harder material these are made out of wears out rotors faster. My last set lasted a little over a year of hard riding with heavy braking on steep descents. My rotors had significant wear with these pads and also had to be replaced, which is not a bad thing anyway as new pads will bed better on new rotors. Performance wise, I like the ceramic as their performance actually improves when they get hot and they work well when wet. They are also quiet if bedded properly after being initially installed.

I used to be think resin was the composition to swear by to reduce or eliminate brake squeal from an ebike. Over time on my Lectric Xpedition, legit OEM branded resin brake pads worked well but only briefly. I hesitated for awhile before going with these Gekor ceramic pads b/c I was so certain that resin was the solution to noisy brakes. I was wrong. It's all about the ceramic pads, at least these ones. I bought a pair to test on the bike for the fronts and will be buying another set for the rear. The orange may look funny if you're looking closely at the bike's calipers, but its worth the performance gain. Doesn't feel like there's any brake fade and there's no need to break these in. They just work right away out of the box. Part of the reason I felt somewhat confident in these before buying is b/c a friend of mine had tried them and said they were good. I still had my doubts but after using them myself, I can say they're totally legit. These are supposed to be a secret. Part of me thinks I should buy a ton more before you guys take me too seriously and start buying up the entire stock leaving me with nothing.

Great stopping power

I had bought another brand of Semi-Metallic pads here but they were extremely noisy. Even after sanding the rotors, spraying with rotor cleaner they were still terrible. So, I tried these ceramic pads. They slipped in easily and after 100mi up and down hills on the street, they just lightly squeal after a long downhill braking. My front organic pads are quieter but wear faster than ceramic. So, I'm pretty happy with these pads. We'll see how they wear over time. I use them on my 750W eMTB.

I heard that ceramic pads are more durable and very strong stopping power in both dry and wet conditions. After my test for two weeks. I found it very quiet it has very strong stopping power, but I had to squeeze very hard to achieve the power compared to the raisin pad I was using before. This may be related to the fact that I am using a cable brake lever

I purchased an ebike that came with this style pad. The peformance of the OEM was so/so and it made a very loud hissing noise when the brakes were applied. These pads appear to work better and are much quieter than the oem no-name brand pads my bike came with. Having said that though, the brakes still make enough of a noise that its still noticeable. Will probably try a few different pads until i find one that works better.

The only quality ceramic pad for these calipers I have found on the market. They do not dissapoint. Bite hard and ride smooth and quiet. Sang a little bit during break in but that is ussual. Just make sure you get a new rotor w your new pads.

I have a tank of an ebike that went through its stock metal brakes within a few months of driving to work and back basically. Not hard on them at all, that being said I went a different route replacing them with ceramics. So far I am very pleased with them, very good stopping power, very quiet, and they were so inexpensive that I was worried about getting them! Buy these, they are working awesome for me so far.. little over a week now, will come back for update if my opinions change

These disc pads are really top quality and they have stopped the squealing issue that I had from both wheels. Highly recommended

Does what’s written on the tin. No probs so far. Not a lot of squeak and when it does, not loud. Won’t have a problem in ordering again in the future.

Very good brake pads, fit Shimano brakes on a Mycle compact folding bicycle. Good value for money.
