Galaxy Sand 10lb Substrate for aquascaping, Aquariums, vivariums and terrariums, Black

Aqua Natural Galaxy Sand is an excellent substrate for aquascaping. The color is absolutely beautiful in person, a natural blend that adds depth and contrast without overpowering the tank. It gives a clean, modern look and really makes fish colors and plants stand out. One of the biggest positives is how clean this sand is right out of the bag. It required minimal rinsing and didn’t cloud my tank like many other sands I’ve used. The grain size is perfect, fine enough for a smooth, natural appearance but heavy enough that it stays in place and doesn’t constantly get kicked up. It works great for planted tanks, bettas, and bottom-dwelling fish, and it’s gentle on fins and barbels. The sand also holds its shape well for aquascaping, making it easy to create slopes and contours. Overall, this is a high-quality substrate that looks amazing, is easy to work with, and performs exactly as expected. This sand is very dark black, just what I wanted. Rinsed many times and still made the rinse water dirty and the aquarium water cloudy but not too bad. It does look awesome though. Would recommend and buy again.

Really nice sand that looks really good in my tank. The only issues I had is that there was a good amount of particles floating on the very top of the water. I bought 10lbs for a 20-gallon long tank and I way underestimated how much I needed. I ordered another 20lb bag and think that should be perfect. The sand is very consistent in particle size. Would buy again in the future.

Looks great in my 9 gallon aquarium.it did take a while to wash and rinse it clear I would say I washed and rinsed about 10 times once I put it in my aquarium and filled it with water. The aquarium was clear almost immediately. Just remember to be sure to rinse until clear before adding to your tank.

Looks good was bit of a mess when arrived but did ship with driftwood so bad luck on it poking the sand packaging.

As described. Great color, dont be silly like me and forget to rinse it before adding to the tank or you'll color your water everytime the sand gets stirred up. A few water changes cleared it up though. Easy. Two bags covered my 29 gal well.

I didn’t have to wash or rinse this sand and for that reason alone, it would get 10 stars if possible. I added this to an already established tank, and it truly didn’t cloud the tank at ALL. I even left the filter on, oops. It settled within 30 mins, looks great, is clean, had zero hitchhikers. My loach is loving it!

Not Alot of aquarium sand, would maybe nicely do a 10 gallon or smaller tank

Beautiful looking Galaxy substrate, enhances the tank and my fish look amazing against the sand, my khuli loaches are having a field day playing and burrowing in it! Easy to rinse and sits like a landscape from a distant planet! Highly recommend

M2 gusto mucho el aspecto que le da al acuario mejor de lo que esperaba

La arena se ve negra (otras publicaciones de arena negra decian que eran negras pero se veian grises en el acuario segun los comentarios). Los brillos que despide la hacen ver atractiva, tuve que enjuagar varias veces para quitarle el polvo, pero quede muy satisfecha con la apariencia que le da al acuario. Saludos.

Great value, looks good, easy to use

Nice and soft but most of it in the box. Other ordered items in the same box were full of sand. Recommend - order sand only.
