Naughty Needles: Sexy, Saucy Knits for the Bedroom and Beyond (Potter Craft) Paperback – Bargain Price, December 19, 2006

This is a rather dated collection of knitting patterns for boudoir garments and toys. Included are patterns for bikinis, see-through tops, knee socks, tasseled pasties, gags, garters, corsets, a straitjacket, boudoir pillows, costumes (nurse, red riding hood, mermaid, pirate), and more. Many of the models use luxury (e.g., mohair) or designer (e.g., sparkly thread) yarns to give a boudoir look. Patterns include schematics and yarn gauges, so that currently available yarns can easily be substituted for the called-for yarns.In my opinion, knitted undergarments aren't particularly "sexy" unless they're knitted from silky, fine-gauge yarns. Because so many of the patterns in this book call for wool yarn and for large (US13) or fairly large needles (US5, US7), the book doesn't appeal to me. If you're looking for sexy knitted garments and undergarments, I would recommend either  Knitting Lingerie Style  or  Sexy Little Knits .As I said in my original review (posted in 2007, shortly after the book was published), I can see laughing over this book with friends, but it's not a must-have for your knitting book collection.

The patterns shown in this book are very fast & easy! They will make nice surprise gifts for my adult children, grandchildren & now Great-grandones too! It is alway a plesant surprise to know I can keep up w/ the times through my knitting! Thanks for helping make me a "HIP Great-Grandma" This book was shipped fast too!

This is an awesome book! It gives you exactly what it promises - naughty knits. In my search for knits that were beyond mittens, hat, and scarves, Niki Lohr delivers the cutest and sexiest knits that prove knitting is not just for grandmas anymore.

I would have like more bustiè style r, racy clothes. But I did get a good laugh at the vibrator bag. Lots of bikinis and other stuff. Maybe TMI on the authors personal life.

Such a cute, sexy pattern book! Was exactly what I was looking for, good quality, lightning fast shipping, there is nothing I have to complain about.

The patterns in this book are not particularly well executed, and come in a small range of sizes. I fancied knitting a pair of knickers, which is why I got the book, but found the knicker design to be poorly-shaped, which seems like a fundamental flaw to me.

I can't remember why I bought this book, I think I wanted to make the lace up mittens. Anyway, it is a fun idea but I can't really see myself knitting many of the items as they are a bit too off-the-wall. I paid a bargain price, but all in all I think this is more for people who collect knitting books than for people who want to knit stuff up.
