My grandpa is nearly blind and cam only read if the text is large and extremely lit up. He often public speaks and uses notes but struggled getting enough light for his speaker notes. I bought this for him and it works perfectly. It's lightweight, bright, and easy for him to use on podiums when speaking. It oddly does not fit an 8.5x11 paper, but this turned out to work better as he can change pages much easier with the paper overhang.

I did a lot of comparing products online and I’m so glad I decided to go with this one. I use it for transferring a design from one piece of paper to another for an Etsy calligraphy business (usually I use tracing paper on bottom because it’s thinner, but I’ve been able to use regular paper as long as the lines are dark and I turn up the brightness.) The price is comparable, and I love all the features. It has a sliding scale of brightness with a wide range, a ruler, and the option to use either batteries or a cable plugged into an outlet (it doesn’t come with an adapter but I just used my iPhone charger). Only problem is that it needs 3 AA batteries, not AAA which is what it came with. Other than that, I highly recommend!

I bought this for my Granddaughter. It is light weight and easy to take along on road trips. The light board can get very bright, so it's easy for her to trace. I wish it had some kind of clips to hold the paper in place. It would be easier for young children. Over all a good buy.

This is absolutely the most wonderful functional light box I have ever had! I love that it is so portable. I do a lot of tracing and this fits the bill perfectly. It allows you to see through even the thickest of paper and is light and compact. You don't need clips to hold the paper either. The box is recessed and has a rough texture, so when you put your paper on it goes nowhere! I use it for tracing, watercolor, calligraphy and coloring!

This light pad is great! It’s lightweight, simple to use, and the brightness helps me out with all of my diamond paintings. It’s easy to pack up if you need to and travel. It has a USB and also a battery pack so it’s more portable. I’d highly recommend!

The edges of the plastic are raised so your paper must fit on the screen.

I love that it's portable & that you can use it anywhere. It is very bright & perfect for tattoo stenciling. My only suggestion would make it with a internal battery that can be charged because if you don't have rechargeable batteries & it doesn't stay charged very long.

I'm glad they finally came out with light boxes that are thin and portable not like the old bulky ones. I bought this because it was the only one I could find that was truly portable - it uses AAA batteries as well as a USB cable. A lot of others say they are portable but require a USB cable to make them work. The only complaint I have is that the on/off button isn't recessed. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've bumped into something and pushed the button turning it on while in the case and running the batteries down. It is a little pricey but good if you're looking for portability.

It says that this light pad takes batteries, there is no where to put batteries. Seller should fix the misleading info in the description. Now I can't return it unless I pay for the shipping back. Totally unfair to penalize the customer, I purchased based on sellers information. I would give zero stars actually, but forced to give 1
