I should’ve bought this a long time ago. So much easier to program from the phone rather than the unit. Easy to use app and it works like the description.

Excellent product for outdoor lights with dusk to dawn setting, as well as many others

I bought two (200 and 300 watt) of these transformers to cover my property's landscape lighting needs. 500 watts gives me plenty of room for the addition of additional landscape Lights should I want them in the future but was less expensive than 2 300 watt devices. I purchased two transformers instead of 1 larger wattage device to save burying cable under a driveway and across grassy areas where there would never be landscape lighting. The transformers (physically) were both well built, easy to hang, and I expect will protect the electronics inside from the weather for years to come. The number of settings for turning the device on and off are ample. I only used the constant on as I coupled both of them to Lutron Alexa enabled outdoor switches so I can fully control when and if devices go on/off. There was a slight difference between the 200 and 300 watt devices in that the 300 watt had a 15 volt option that the 200 did not but that did not affect my needs/design. The one issue that I was not aware of and became a minor hiccup (but thanks to Amazon Prime it wasn't a big problem) was that the transformer will not show an output without being under a load (and evidently a muilt meter device is not enough of a load). I did not see this in the instructions but later saw it on a sticker on the side of the device. I am the type of person who checks everything before going to the next step. Once I attached a well light to the device it functioned flawlessly. I left this extra well light attached (so I could see it lit) after I attached each of my two lines (going each way from the 300 watt device) and as I attached each lighting device down line. This gave me piece of mind knowing if the light I was working on didn't come on the problem was in my local connection to the main line and not the transformer. The brown color of the transformer case matches my home perfectly I hope these transformers continue to look and work as well as they are 4 weeks out.

This is an easy to install timer with good functionality. It seems to be well built. To be clear, in my opinion, ime will tell if it is in fact a quality built device. Again, it does seem to be well made. I am using the on/off with sunset & sunrise feature. this is very nice. Although I like the sunrise.sunset feature, I wold like to see it have the ability to turn on & off at a user defined time. As best I can, tell, it does not have this. So I run my lights a bit longer than I would prefer. All in all, I like this device and would buy it again.

Has been working reliably for 2 years running about 100W of outdoor LED lighting. Easy setup. Set and forget. Just keeps working.

After electrical storm I was told my old transform was broken so I needed a new one. So this was my solution. But it turns out that after I turned my maintenance over to my service the old one wasn't broken just needed to be rebooted. So this new one is,sitting in my garage waiting for the old one to go kaput.

Dewenwils makes great products and I already own one. Unfortunately, their marketing is a joke. This product is described on Amazon as possessing a light sensor and allowing astronomical setting of time. They offer such a product but it is not this one. I have ordered two of the correct products through Ebay and am praying that I will not be disappointed again. They also make so many models that have different features but nowhere do they adequately differentiate the products. Instead, it has taken me hours to figure it all out. There is in fact an astronomical timer function in this model, which one can find in "scenes." The representative who wrote me apologized that its existence or description is nowhere to be found in their manual and promised to write better instructions.I ordered a different model as a replacement and right now it is working fine. However, I cannot comment on its longevity. Many purchasers have written that the transformer dies an early death. I certainly hope not and if that occurs, I really hope the Dewenwils will stand behind their product.

Seems like a pretty solid unit so far. Been running it for a week. It’s been exposed to below freezing temps and generous amounts of rain and hasn’t dropped wifi signal. It integrates very nicely with Alexa. I would purchase this unit again.Update: This unit worked flawlessly through a Michigan winter. Been running like a champ for about 5 months now.

This transformer offers several modes including one with an on/off based on a timer. Very useful if you have the transformer installed in the garage and can't rely on photocell for the on/off function. There is another model of dewenwils very similar, same price but it only works with photocell. This is a better option. Just bought it a few weeks ago. Price is good and it seems to be very well built and reliable.

Installed 2 days ago to replace broken 200W to power pot lights around the house. Transformer is installed in the garage and set to Timer option. If anything, I wish the option (Timer) green light would stay on all the time, same as clock indicator not only at the time of setting it up to make it visible at glance. Very happy with the purchase.

Happy with the quality and output of this transformer. Meshed well with Alexa and was easy to setup.

First time doing low voltage landscape lighting. This was fairly easy to install. Handles a lot of lights on multiple strings. Made it through temps of -30C to -40C. Easy to adjust timer. Short cord, but I think this is for safety reasons. But keep in mind for installation. Bought/dis 100 foot wire runs, so had no trouble reaching places I needed to illuminate. Make sure to buy high enough gauge wire to match length of your wire run and voltage. Directions were helpful for this + Google.

One issue with this transformer is that the LCD display is white with red numbers. This makes it almost impossible to see and hence program during the day, especially if the sun is on it. Otherwise it is an excellent full featured transformer with in my case; 300 watt capacity, dual voltage terminals 12vac & 14vac, durable metal case and a breaker reset button. If the LCD display was a normal green/black display I would have given it a 5 star rating.
