Works Like Magic — If You Know These Tricks First!
This product can be a miracle worker — with a few important precautions. I’ve used several products from this company for three different projects ( saving me thousands of dollars), and here’s what I’ve learned: 1) The repair paint acts like a flexible vinyl paint. It does an amazing job covering color, texture, and small tears. You may need to blend colors to get an exact match, so always test in a hidden area first. In fact, you might want to practice the whole process on a small hidden area, like under the seat, to get used to the product. ******Important: Not all bottles are the same shade, even if labeled the same color! I bought a small “cream” bottle and later a large one — completely different shades. Luckily, I had one of those sets of 3 and mixed a few drops of a darker shade to get a perfect match. Note that when the paint dries, it will appear different, so wait until it's dry to determine if it works. In addition, you’ll need more paint than you expect. Still, once mixed, it worked wonders — it covered a large damaged leather spot from cat vomit that had nearly eaten through. After several coats, I could not tell it was damaged; noting, my chair is "pull wax" leather (created to show off a natural leather's aging and patina over the years), so the matching chair had very slightly more color dispersity in the seat. Using the buffing balm on the undamaged chair made them indistinguishable. 2) Use the Furniture Clinic Leather Flexifil sparingly. It’s great for sealing large tears, but it can leave a visible smear texture if you spread too wide. It says it can be sanded, but keep in mind you’ll be sanding the leather too, which can leave uneven spots. It fixed a big tear beautifully, but didn’t help much with tiny claw punctures. 3) Expect to apply multiple coats of paint to cover the Flexifil texture completely. But if you're just covering a small stain, you can get away with covering the small area completely, then using a "dappling" or "light sponging" technique to blend the paint into the undamaged area. You might want to try this first to see if you really need to cover the whole surface. 4) Be patient between coats. Let each layer dry fully before reapplying. If you brush over a section that’s started drying, it’ll pill or lift. I would avoid using a heat source to dry, this is not wall paint- it's like a liquid vinyl and might warp, chip or peel in time when high heat is used. Cover your tools with plastic wrap to avoid them drying out. 5) If you end up with a mistake or just want to start over, you can use a slightly abrasive dish sponge with water to remove the paint until it dries completely. I would wait until the leather is fully dry before reapplying. Once you get the hang of it, this combo can make your leather look brand new again. It saved my couch and a chair — but patience, prep, and color testing are everything!

Easy and effective fix for leather recliner
Bought this hoping it would repair a faded "leather" recliner. I thought the recliner was ruined when my son accidentally spilled hot chili on it. The color instantly faded. I called for quotes from a furniture repair company. They wanted at least $250 to fix it. I thought I would try and fix it myself first. I found the Furniture Clinic Repair Paint, read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. Needless to say, I'm glad that I did. The color match was perfect. The repair was very simple; I applied the paint with a sponge. The recliner looks great and I couldn't be happier. It's been about a month and the color still looks great; even with moderate wear. Great product. Definitely would purchase again.

Easy to use, affordable, results are amazing
I had a leather couch that was unfortunately very scratched by my two cats. Usually cats don't like to scratch leather but I had a fabric couch cover that they liked to scratch and their nails made it through the cover onto the couch. Decided to buy this and I was amazed by the results. The bottle is rather small but a little goes a long way. I just used a paper towel and dabbed/rubbed the product into the imperfections of the couch. I did this two times. The couch looks brand new, if not, better!! It dried in a couple hours but I left it alone for a day to make sure. No residue left over!! I am only taking off one star because a few months later I'm starting to see some of the scratches again. I did two coats. I would still recommend this product because its cheap, a little goes a long way, it's super easy to use, there's no residue or transfer onto your clothes, and it makes your couch look amazing. I would not mind having to apply it every now and then, it's better than throwing away my couch.

Works well to use thin coats
Excellent for leather repair, but colors need to be mixed. Also, apply thinly and allow to thoroughly dry between. I mixed 2 colors to achieve a better match, and waited 24hrs. before each coat. Probably used about 4 coats in all to repair a small are of scratches on a vintage and high end leather sofa.

A bit thin, not a color match for me
surprised the color didnt work for me. Looked perfect on a white towel but way too light on the chair. Im going to mix it w some craft paint to get the correct shade then seal it in with a wax or something as i only needed to fix a small spot of missing color on the armrest. The product seems like it would be fine, if not a little thin. Might take a few thin coats for your application.

excellent stuff, good quality, neither liquid nor solid, medium consistency. It dries quickly and fills in all the scuffs.
