One of my favorite books & this special edition is gorgeous

This beautiful story is thought-provoking, emotional and fantastical. It had me wondering what does living successfully mean? Are you only successful if you are remembered? If you make a mark in this world? And what would I sacrifice for happiness? The story also explored what it means to be human. To be loved. To love. For my friends who know nothing about Addie LaRue this is definitely a fantasy with a dash of romance. I wouldn’t call it a straight romance book but rather explores themes of love. I am seriously so thankful I branched out of the stories I usually read to read this. These characters, especially Addie, will stick with me for life. V.E. Schwab’s writing is gorgeous. A work of art. I immediately bought books off her backlist after reading this. I read this as an audiobook and I couldn’t recommend it more in this format. Julia Whelan did a phenomenal job bringing this book to life. Her emotions could be felt so vividly. I sobbed my way through many parts of this story 🥹 Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to read this. I will be sending you my therapy bill but I am so thankful 😂

Oh my goodness, this book, physically is beautiful, I loved the illustrations included, imagining them are one thing but having something specifically selected to represent the journey of Addie was wonderful to have. And the story, PHENOMENAL, its heartbreakingly beautiful is so many ways. I am so glad I snagged this book!!

I loved this novel and this edition is beautiful. There's gorgeous artwork inside the book along with a fabric bookmark. Overall, I am happy with this edition although I do want to point out that the book itself is more the size of a paperback and not your standard hardcover size. It is still a gorgeous book and an awesome edition to your bookcase, especially if you loved the novel like I did.

The illustrated edge to the book was the ingredient that made this gift the most special. Yes, she requested this title, but was super impressed the beauty of the binding and the edge illustration. Wonderful find for a paper book lover.

This book is amazing from start to finish! I'm definitely going to read it again. In fact, I listened to this book first then purchased this addition because of the illustrations. The art is a huge part of the story!!! Must read! Everyone who I have recommended Addie LaRue o has loved it!

Such a beautiful copy! I loved this book so much, definitely my top read of the year.

This was a very unique, wonderful, heartbreaking story. I was hooked quickly and found it hard to put this down. The audio was fantastic and worth the credit. This illustrated edition is beautiful with pretty artwork in the middle and also scattered throughout the book. Well worth the $30ish I paid. Definitely recommend.

Loved it- both the story and the book😍. It is beautiful.

The book came looking a little old, there were yellow spots beginning to appear around the book, and the insert was a little black as well. Minor imperfections on the book. The insert of the illustrations were also popping out when the book is closed, which made my OCD tick a little. Just a little sad as $40 isn’t cheap! But otherwise the book is gorgeous and I love the design and feel of the book! Can’t wait to collect more :) I have yet to read it, I hope it’s as good as people say it is!
